As soon as the actual code is being posted look at how fast they run away. Sad.

A shot? from the guy who's entire existence on here is copying and pasting legal articles. Very nasty.

I never disagreed with your post of the flag code. Just your inaccuracy of Shawn White's issue. Since you moved on from Shawn White to the flag code, I didn't need to say more.

So, nothing about shirts or pants then.

Why is there this obsession with making LeBron James out to be one of the public intellectuals of our time? He just says the right things about politics.

The accuracy of his act being worse than taking a knee is valid.

Laura Ingraham is just a female version of Sean Hannity. Both are morons who say inane bullshit.

Silk flowers arranged to fit on the head like a floral crown, I think.

Kevint Durant responds.

Quote:
While Ingraham would later put out a statement claiming there was "no racial intent" behind her words, Durant simply doesn't agree.

"To me, it was racist," he said while shaking his head.

Q: So how did her comments hit you when you first heard them?

A: "It didn't hit me. Ignorance is something I try to ignore. That was definitely an ignorant comment. I do play basketball, but I am a civilian and I am a citizen of the United States, so my voice is just as loud as hers, I think – or even louder. I can't focus on that. I think we're doing some good things out here, using our platform, and I think what me and LeBron did with Uber (and UNINTERRUPTED) the other day when it came out, I thought it was great. I thought a lot of people enjoyed it.

We have "ignoring ignorance" (which isn't really a dig, ignorance like that is best left to twist in the wind, and he's totally right especially from a guy who probably averages being called the n-word once a night on road trips, but come on!) and "I'm a citizen so my opinion is just as valid, but because I'm super famous and rich maybe it's more valid". Immanuel Kant who?

Yea he's not very elloquent in his words but he's on point. He's a leader, even if some players don't think so he definitely is publicly to media and kids.

It sounds bad out of context but I have no problem with it. I’m sure he’s keenly aware of Jordan getting criticized for taking the opposite stance.

Feel free to speak your mind, they have a platform that few others in the country do. A statement like that is ready made to be mocked though. His 'importance to society' is small. We think its bigger because we are sports fans.

Right but the criticism of Jordan remaining apolitical was exactly because he supposedly meant too much to society to remain neutral.

I agree it’s ready made to be mocked. I just think it’s more understandable in the context it was said than some of his previous famously tone deaf comments.

Jordan is still relevant today precisely because he stayed neutral. You don't get to make Space Jam if you get political about the LA riots and OJ. He knew what he was, an athlete with a short shelf life and he maximized his fame/wealth. Maybe as an elderly man he will regret it but I doubt it. He made his choice and it was green.

Jordy is kind of an asshole and probably voted for Trump. He wisely doesn’t talk politics.

Young minority kids and young fans overall love LeBron more than basketball fans love Jordan. As I’ve said before LeBron fans and Trumpets are the worst people to attempt to have a civil debate with. I respect LeBron because he's using his platform to speak out on social issues. I'm cool with even Trumpet players doing the same thing.

You don't say that under any circumstances.

Also, he's not willing to kneel and make people mad so he does have dome Jordan to him.

LeBron knew he erred when he lead off with "society" on his list of things he Means Too Much To, the scope of things on that list kept getting smaller and smaller.

Probably, hopefully, a misspeak. Yet given how even two radio hosts in Chicago idolize him, it's probably not wrong to think that MANY believe he does mean that much to society/humanity at large.

Ingraham's comments were undeniably elitist. She essentially states that Lebron shouldn't speak on politics because he didn't attend college. It is illustrative of the hypocrisy found in Republican politics. They often criticize Liberal Democrats for being the party of Coastal elites. If nothing else she has been exposed as a snob and a hypocrite.

In addition is the fact that she has never been critical of either Limbaugh or Hannity; neither of whom possess college degrees. She is perfectly willing to provide credence for their views yet she tells James to shut the hell up.
