I find it interesting that JLN is so good at telling people what something isn't, but then won't say what something is.

It's almost as though he doesn't want to be held to the same standard that he holds for every poster on this board.

I can point out what isn't infinity, but I cannot specify a number that is, in fact, infinite.

That's probably because 'infinite' is a quality, not a quantity.

You obviously have a belief as to what constitutes a society, othwrwise you wouldn't have been so quick to tell others that their conception was incorrect.

LeBron's level of awareness is such that the "shut up and dribble" comment has caused him to discover Laura Ingraham's show.

Of course in LeBron's case he prefers to "speak up and travel."

Still not "society".

Wow. He actually said that.

It sounds bad out of context but I have no problem with it. I’m sure he’s keenly aware of Jordan getting criticized for taking the opposite stance.

You don't say that under any circumstances.

Also, he's not willing to kneel and make people mad so he does have dome Jordan to him.

FF is right. I don't think it's a stretch to say LBJ means African American audiences in particular look him to him for inspiration and perspective. Should they is a different question. But as an influential figure within that community it's absolutely true that he means a lot to people. Laura, perhaps deliberately, totally missed how marginalized communities rally around personalities that they feel represent their interests, that speak for them on public stages, and that give them hope. Whether we like it or not LBJ is that person for a whole lot of people. Much more than that dickhead Jordan. And there's no way LBJ has Jordan in him, politically speaking. The minute he campaigned for Clinton he basically hurt his brand amongst a large segment of the public, even though it won't affect him in the aggregate. Jordan would never do that. Trump supporters buy sneakers too.

Except LeBron said, first and foremost, "society", without any caveats or qualifiers. What has LeBron provided society at large which society at large cannot do without?

I'm starting to gain a newfound respect for Ms. Ingraham's opinion.

Unsurprisingly such principled conservative voices no longer have a space on Fox News, which has now become the fucking Trump News Network. Instead of hearing from conservatives who can make a reasoned argument, we get people who try to explain why it's OK for evangelical Chrsitians to endorse Trump banging a porn star a few weeks after his 3rd wife gave birth to their son.
