Oh yeah, I forgot that arguments in favor of practical gun control aimed at reducing American gun deaths will be painted as racist.

I had a post after I think the Vegas shooting.

3 strikes rule for gun crimes.

Get serious or shut up.

MANY don't want to hear it.

The poor don't have a color. It's really unfortunate that you are unable to recognize that.

Restricting some tools and requiring more education and training (JOBS!) is an awful idea but permanently caging the lower class and minorities is a great. Sad!

I think gun control advocates would like to talk about gang violence, domestic violence, and domestic accidents, but the enormity of a mass shooting with an AR-15 drowns everything out. It's all a problem.

If anyone on the left is clinging to guns, it's the tankies who still think the proletariat needs to be able to lead an armed revolution. The yaas-queens aren't afraid of taking guns from blacks at all.

I respect the hardcore socialists who support the 2nd Amendment more than I do the blue check mark burrito brigade.

McDonald v. City of Chicago.

Some acquaintances of mine were two of the plaintiffs. They would never strike you as typical gun people which probably why they were chosen.

Yes. I believe this what you do. You can even turn DEA agents into ATF agents and wouldn't have to worry about all the jobs being lost to ending the drug war (which is why it will never be ended). My students are always surprised when I mention how I'm straight edge yet firmly believe in legalizing.

Yeah that sounds reasonable, and would act as a passive check against the police or a prosecutor really fucking someone over on a single charge.

Though gun crime, especially violent gun crime, is already pretty bad, so maybe a two-strike rule, a Double Fault if you will.

Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle (R) said Monday he would block any tax legislation that benefits Delta Airlines after the company ended its discount program for National Rifle Association (NRA) members.

“I will kill any tax legislation that benefits @Delta unless the company changes its position and fully reinstates its relationship with @NRA. Corporations cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back,” Cagle tweeted.

I will kill any tax legislation that benefits @Delta unless the company changes its position and fully reinstates its relationship with @NRA. Corporations cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back.
— Casey Cagle (@CaseyCagle) February 26, 2018

Delta, which is headquartered in Atlanta, is reportedly seeking state approval to restore a sizable fuel tax break that expired several years ago.

The airline is one of several national corporations to end business partnerships with the NRA in recent days following a mass shooting at a Florida high school.

Cagle, who is running for governor this year, issued a statement accusing those companies of “viewpoint discrimination against conservatives and law-abiding gun owners.”

Car rental companies National Car Rental, Enterprise and Alamo and car pricing group TrueCar are among the other companies that ended their deals for NRA members.

First National Bank of Omaha also announced last week it would end its business relationship with the gun group, which included issuing NRA-branded credit cards to members.

The backlash against the NRA comes amid renewed debate over gun laws after Nikolas Cruz, 19, allegedly opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., on Feb. 14, killing 17 people and injuring several others.

Since the shooting, many survivors have criticized GOP lawmakers who receive campaign contributions from the NRA and oppose new gun control measures.

I'm sure Detroit or Minneapolis would gladly become the home to Delta's home offices.

Imu, I know you're not stupid. So why would you claim not to understand the point in that post? Are you trying to be funny? Is it simple trolling? Are you trying to make the conversation more difficult or to damage relations between parties?

So you're trolling. Ok. As long as we're clear with that I'm fine with it.

Yeah, you're wrong.

I'm not ready to agree that Dick's made this decision as a publicity stunt. But...

Let's say they did.

You wouldn't like it. You wouldn't want to patronize that business. Conversely, if whatever Big R is made a statement that said 'we love our AR's and we're going to continue sellin em because America' you'd say 'Fuck yeah now I'm going to make sure I buy all my ammo there.'

That's how gun owners are. Dick's making this decision and statement won't change my shopping habits a little bit, even though I'm definitely pro-gun control. I don't have knee jerk reactions. I still have Chick-fil-A once or twice a month too.

Well, you're quite willing to paint 100 million + Americans with the same broad brush. That is bigoted.
I'm very proud that you won't change your shopping habits. That's swell.
But yeah you show your ass a bit with that post, and it comes off as bigoted.

Interesting to note that dicks very recently didn't meet earnings. And further interesting that their next earnings statement in in a couple weeks.
I'm less than surprised they're getting some easy pub with this announcement.
Why not just stop selling them? Why the announcement?
Easy answer. Publicity seeking.

Why do retail chains announce store closings? Why not just close them?

And yes, I am bigoted toward people that would choose the freedom to have bump stocks, large capacity magazines and assault rifles over the lives of innocent kids. My opinions and values are worth more than their opinions and values. #ComeAtMeBruh

I'm also bigoted against pro-Nazi supporters like JLN and kiddie diddlers like chas.

They probably announce them because they're required to by shareholders and sec rules?
But they don't typically announce when they stop carrying Excedrin quick melt tabs (which were pretty awesome f9r the record.)
But they got their name in the news and in your head. They worked you.
