I know it is kind of morbid, but I figured it would kill some time.

I've heard getting shot in the stomach is the worst possible thing a human can experience. Drowning would suck, too.

Falling from a high point would suck. The anticipation on the way down of knowing, "Yes...I'm about to go splat in a few moments." That would really suck.

That was also my rationale with listing "beheading" as a possible option. Apparently your "better half" remains conscious for about 20 seconds after being cut-off. I even read somewhere that executioners back in the day would hold the head up facing the torso so the victim's last sight would be very unpleasant.

why wasn't her hair pulled back in a pony tail? when i worked at a warehouse for amazon.com, anyone with long hair had to do that, especially on bander/bundler lines so that type of stuff wouldn't happen. i guess now everyone'll have to wear a hair net
