I hate dogs but my lady friend wants to get one when we move back home when the renters move out.

I have always hated dogs.

I think what is described as love is just the dog knowing the human supplies its food. that's it.


Convince me the other way where dogs are great. I am open minded. Give me some examples where you feel the dog is really a loyal companion and anything else positive.

It's a huge time, and emotional investment. I wouldn't get a hyperactive breed. A nice tiny lapdog. I know you're too upstanding to bring a vile, dangerous, and disgusting pitbull into your home.

I honestly do not know anyone that "hates" dogs. There are people that choose to accept the responsibility of dog ownership and those that do not.

Don't get an ankle biter. Most dogs are intelligent and fiercely loyal. They'll follow if you know how to lead. If not, dog ownership will be lots of complaining, and your house will smell awful. FYI, leadership doesn't involve physical or emotional abuse.

didnt have a dog as a kid, wife didnt either and she has allergies to cats/dogs. i don't hate dogs, but won't be getting one.

Dogs are the worst invention god ever made. Whatever emotional connection anyone has with them is based on false premise. If you died and the dog didn't get it's food fr you anymore, it would eat you.

I enjoy our dog. but it makes any travel a chore. my parents gladly take her but its just a hassle. she guards the farm for the most part and lives outside/garage from may to october. we trained her well so she's well behaved.

the biggest reason most people would hate a dog is because their owners did not train the dog and its become worthless. which happens....a lot.

we also have cats. indoor and out. I don't have a use for them but they don't bother me and I don't bother them.

kids stuffed up the toilet with paper yesterday. I don't have room for another animal in the house
