I was inspired by the "People Who Should Not Be Allowed...." thread.

So, I'm going to tell a story and I will bet it doesn't get to page 2 without getting political.

So, I attended the 4th of July in the late-'90s in Mayor Daley's pavilion for the orchestra and fireworks. My boss at that time had ties to Daley that would later be recounted in various Tribune articles in an unflattering manner.

I met Steve Schill on live TV on Fox and pissed him off by making a joke that flustered him. I said I would be interviewed for his spot and he gave me a rolled up Declaration of Independence on live TV. I asked if it was the original. He didn't know how to respond. I said I'll take it either way. He walked away clearly pissed.

I went to visit my gout guy today. Everything is going great since he put me on meds. I decided to celebrate by walking the ghost town of north michigan avenue. I walked past the Levi's store and it just so happens that I am in need of jeans, so I stopped in. I bought myself a pair of non blue jeans for the first time in my life. They are a dark grey in athletic trim cut. So if you see a guy walking without a hobble in sexy new jeans, come up and say hi.
