Anyone ordering from Walmart online lately? They're beating Amazon on price and delivery times now. There's no reason for me to go to the physical store anymore. Order anything from their website, like a dresser and loveseat, and a few hours later some guy named Samirihaad pulls up in his Hyundai sedan with the trunk tied down and motions to you that your Walmart order is here. It's pretty awesome.

I have Walmart plus. It's great but I go to Jewel for produce and meat.

I have ordered here and there from Walmart. Prices are good but I have also found their failure to fulfill orders rate to be much higher than amazon. Most recently a TV that was supposed to be delivered the next day but then after a few days of "it is coming but delayed" they simply pulled the plug.

It must be my area then. And I don't order unless I could pick up today in store. That way they won't ship it... They say ship but it's just some dude who probably fills the box with sperm before getting to my house.

Saw a recent article about online returns…for women’s apparel the rate is 40% (they order 8 dresses and return 5). Not to mention the Christmas trees returned after New Year’s and the TVs returned after the Super Bowl. And most is never put back in inventory to be resold. All that is reflected in the prices. Very sad.

My wife sews stuff. Long story short she ended up taking Amazon returns from somebody in New Zealand who makes baby bassinet cover sheet sets because it’s cheaper than shipping them back to NZ. She gets lots of returns of obviously well used sheets, incomplete sets, user stained sheets, and what she assumes are people using them for photo shoots and immediately returning them. Whoever checks them from Amazon obviously doesn’t look too closely. Additionally she gets other non-sheet returns. We got a $200 co-sleeper once along with complete bassinets and all sorts of baby items. Last week I wasn’t sure what kind of glove to order my daughter so I bought 3 and sent 2 back after we picked one.

My only problem with returns is in my town there's no good ups dropoff point. Their stores are stupid

USPS works great, 24/7 box dropoff but only to a certain size.

I assume if they are not near you they will be. New company Mac.Bid takes all the return shit from Amazon and other overstock. Auctions it off online and then you pick it up. Works great many bargains.

its also a clusterfuck of quality. even their house brand stuff is often shit. whats nice about walmart.com is if you only buy stuff thats actually in the store, you know youre getting a vetted product that isnt years expired.

i just bought deodorant, soap, and shampoo. arrived three hours later for free shipping. cheaper price online than in store too. theres no fucking reason for me to go there anymore, which is a very smart move by walmart. theyre fighting amazon with the type of service amazon almost killed them with. i wonder if this is their last play before they start closing stores in mass, and just becoming another amazon type company. we already have seen them closing stores due to theft.
