Isn't light cream sometimes also referred to as whipping cream?

Whipping cream is lighter than heavy cream but heavier than half and half.

Maybe shakes knows.

Light cream is also known as table cream. I believe heavy cream and whipping cream are the same thing.


Here in the Northeast we have half and half, whipping cream, and heavy cream. From my recollections, I think that's the nomenclature in Chicago, too. When I lived in the South, the terms whipping cream and heavy cream were used interchangeably, and grocery stores often sold pints of cream labelled "heavy whipping cream." Table cream and light cream were also synonymous.
