I'm going to a fundraiser tonight at Duggan's for an old classmate who's house burned down.

Fucker probably collected a fat insurance check and will use my money to pay down an internet porn bill.

Playing a show in Rockford tonight with Wayland. Playing a show Saturday in Janesvilee, WI with Prospect Hill and a killer time slot at Brat Fest Sunday.

Beer will be involved...

Huh? If he has insurance, why does he need a benefit?

exactly...shenanigans afoot

I think the quick answer is that insurance really doesn't cover everything like temporary housing, clothing and the full replacement value of the home.

If he bought a cheap policy, it's possible. Any standard policy will cover all of that. Oh well. I think Ill have a benefit after my next car wreck.

Tonight: going to dinner with some of the fiance's family
Tomorrow: shopping for some new threads and picking up some fish at the market down in the QC...also gonna make a run to Fareway and stock up on various meats and things. Grilling some of the aforementioned fish and/or meats. I'm sure some drinking will be involved, as will some Hearthstone
Sunday: More grilling...and more drinking...and more Hearthstone...
Monday: If we are feeling ambitious, might run to the parents in the afternoon...otherwise, see Sunday :D
Tuesday: possibly going somewhere to grab a copy of Watch Dogs at midnight...if not, see Sunday. 8)

Yes, I am. There is a coach on UWM that my son has worked out with quite a bit and has become a good friend of mine. Plus there are 3 kids from our community that play on the team. Beautiful campus where they are playing and a really nice ballpark.

Actually Keyser, the kids that pitched the first 2 games for them are from my hometown. Thicke and Keller.

How was the game? UWM has a couple guys but they were hurt when I saw them.

UWM was awful and yes they have had a ton of injuries. They then got beat in 13 innings yesterday to get eliminated.

Tonite- hanging out at my brother in law's place for a bit. Likely order pizza and have a few cold drinks

Tomorrow- Visiting some of my family in Wilmette. Evidently they have some like 100 year old bottle of wine they are gonna break out. Maybe start up the ol' fireplace if its cold enough at night.

Sunday- General yard/house work.

Pretty boring weekend
Haven't seen much of the family on either side since we came back from Mexico, so it will be good to spend some time with them this weekend.

Tonight/Tomorrow -- Pretty much closing up the house for the upcoming winter. Tearing out the tomato plants,
clean the garage, turn off the outside water.... stuff like that. Probably get on the roof and clean all the leaves
out of the gutters. I should be finished in time to enjoy some college football.

Sunday -- playing golf down in Cary, IL and then watching the Bears at my buddy's house. Sunday night
HBO in the evening.

I never understood your dislike of the Packers. Aren't you just a Rams fan? Or are you a fan of the Bears and the Rams?

I'm a Rams fan...thus, I'm not a fan of football...

...I felt the same way a few weeks ago when we just had to watch the Bears game...for no explicable reason whatsoever.
