I am under the weather and looking for something that gives you that burn from the first sip. I am going to someone's house so I cannot be too picky. I'll probably throw a quick shot of jack down and then maybe a glass of scotch if he has it.

I'm gonna be around a few Milfs tonight (Milfs that are friends of family). So just beer for me cuz I know how to drink that without making an ass of myself. I sometimes say and do bad things when I'm drinking hard liquor. Not always. But I can't risk it.

Not sure if it has hit Hipster levels yet, but Malort provides the burn you are looking for.

Stop at the Buy Low or Miska's and pick up a bottle of Slivovitzs. It's a Polish plum brandy, not entirely dissimilar to cough syrup, but in a good way.

Yes. If you want something to destroy your taste buds for an hour or so, drink of shot of Jeppson's Malort.

That stuff is awesome. There is a Swedish place on the North Side that makes it. I remember the first time I tried it. I made the mistake of chewing down on one of the grapes, very very bad idea.

That my friends(if I have any left around here) is a thread ender. I got turned onto it by my ex-fiances dad. Nothing like a sledgehammer to the brain.

Do you take me for some kind of rookie? The only good Slivovitzs is made in a bathtub...if you want a little extra flavor, it's made while someone is bathing

Here is my SHARKlike post for the day. I believe you should state "Just upthe street from Hop Leaf as the number on Clark are going up to get there. See, Hop Leaf is just South of Foster and Simon's is just North of Foster.

 Happy New Year to everyone wherever you go.

I think Simon's is on the east side of Clark. Do you live up that way, Beni? Have you been to that gay hamburger place?

I'm starting out with a couple Johnnie Black and sodas at Pete Miller's. Then on to my buddy's private bar The Harris-Barker for a nice lineup of red wines. I'm bringing a bottle of '04 Cristal for midnight. I've got Uber loaded on my phone so you puritans need not worry about me driving.

West side, Sam. Hamburger Mary's is just okay and it's very, very gay.

Closer to little Vietnam, but get up here some. JORR is right...west side, just ok burgers and it is Andersonville, so yeah there is a homosexual contingent. Just glad there is at least a place serving meat burgers.

Just cracked open the bottle of Jager I got for Christmas, found a recipe online for the wife with shot of Jager, shot of Amaretto, and OJ. Pretty smooth. Could make for an early, fun night with all the kids gone elsewhere! :bounce:

Saving the home-made plum cordial for tomorrow with my parents. Still canned up from 2009, the last year we were able to harvest any plums from our trees (lost them to some weird disease/blight the next summer)
