No.

Thinking about a quaint bite to eat along the South Branch for dinner.

Maybe you'll see the next Jim Cornelison. Maybe you will like it, but I don't think so. Good luck and no texting during the show.

Could i introduce you to my wife?

Would you want to go? I'll even buy you a bottle to sneak in to the performance.

I've got big plans this weekend otherwise I might do it. Your wife would be super pissed at you and I don't think we are into the same things...opera and you don't really get it done for me.

Bottle of water for me lately, too. I'm on the wagon.

A bottle of water it is.

And if she decides to like the Opera, she will need a friend to go with going forward.

Its one thing just to suck, but it JUST TOOK SO LONG!

3-4 years ago? Maybe more? went once. Act I, 1 hour, then like 30 min break, then Act II for another Hour, then another 1/2 hour break,

Going into Act II it was like 9:15-9:30 and she tells me there is a Third Act for another 60 to 90 Minutes.

I swear I almost broke up with her right there! Ended it about 3 weeks later....and this didnt help if this was going to be any part of my future life.

Really doesnt matter where you go to dinner. Lloyds, Avec, Cocos, etc because it will all be ruined by the most boring 3-4 hours of your life.

I am getting chills just remembering this period of time in my life!

I sure you really get something out of this. Like a HALL PASS!

The good news is that the running time is 3 hours and 25 minutes. Lucky for me that includes intermissions.

Curb Your Enthusiasm
Best scene: While entering a theater, a woman asks Larry to dispose of his water bottle because no outside drinks are allowed, but soon later he discovers that she doesn’t even work there–she just strongly believes in following the rules.

My bad.

Lets see, a 3.5 hour excursion to hear a mind numbing opera or the life of a suburban hausfrau for the weekend.

Death is not an option.

We have a hockey tournament this weekend. Later this week, preperation! I will be attaching glitter, ribbons, and notes with fun sayings to snack items obtained at Costco.

It's not "in writing" anywhere, but portable fondue sets are frowned upon.

Next moth they got Parzifal, that is a fairly decent one. The Ring cycle by Wagner is the tops, even though he was a Nazi he made some good music.

He died in 1883.

Short of reincarnation, that would be one hell of a trick he pulled off to have been a Nazi.

If you read about him he was a Nazi in all but name.

Bigfan doesn't like Jerry Reinsdorf. Does that mean that he is a Nazi too?

For the opera, or for a time-travelling Nazi composer?

I finally gave in and we are going this Saturday to see Die Fledermaus. My first, and hopefully last one. It takes care of Valentine's Day though so that is nice.

Pray for me. This thing is like 3.5 hours with no ability to fast forward with my dvr.
