OPV is almost an On air guy, won some contest and has been on air, still working at WGN. Schitzie, Quad City, etc...thats mic sniffing...those guys call in, send in , etc endless communications all based in "Dan I agree with you....let me support your statements"...and its why Danny reads them in a normal voice v. the guy who Dan doesnt like and he reads it in the dumb guy voice.

The only radio "personality" I've met in person who was a dick is (the legendary) Harry (Teinowitz). Completely big-timed me at a Bulls game. Mac, Silvy, Waddle, Carmen, and Jurko were all more than generous when face to face. Maybe Harry was lit?

My favorite Fritzy Moment came shortly after 9/11 when he fulminated against all the "goofy bastards wearing towels on their heads as they walk up and down Devon Avenue." Fritzy openly advocated the beating of these individuals with baseball bats so they could be taught loyalty to America--and to dress in jeans and t-shirts like "regular" Americans.
