quotes slightly out of context but i learned from msn to always bury the lead and go with what will get page hits.

We have been working on a huge bid for them, might need to work on importing all these bikes back to them.

walk into an authorized trek store and say "can i get the non-paralyzing tuneup?"

you might get a discount

it has to be a nightmare for trek. whats sad is if nobody got paralyzed they probably wouldnt even need a recall... and to be honest millions of people wreck their bikes and dont end up disabled, so i dont really pin this on the company but public perception will make them own up to it.

Maybe the rider was one of those dopes, who was carrying something in their right hand, leaving their free hand to work the front brakes.

no, the quick release lever when disengaged can flip all the way 180 around and bury itself into the wheel and totally lock it up.

the paralysis was not something anyone could have predicted, but the problem of the lever was known for years.

Waterloo's finest!

I actually own a Trek... not a bad mid-grade bike. Kind of like the Chevy of bikes... dependeb;e, but not too exciting.
