Not talking about the Displays...but...dont get the guy who feels the need to light the big explosion in the neighborhood...I am talking about the Boom that just sets the car alarms off and you think you live in Iraq!

Dont even know if it is an M80? or if an M100 exists? Someone lit one last night at 2 AM...and again this morning at 7AM...pretty sure I know which White Trash dirtbag is doing it....which is the downside to being the last of the few remaining citybillys living in mommy and daddys house at age 40....everything bad gets blamed on you and your siding from 1945!

Tonight I am sure he will be in full glory

they sell dynamite to quarrys still. most people just cut those in half or 1/4 for their 'fireworks'

Back when we had dogs and/or cats they would be put on basement lockdown July 4 weekend. Kids, cats and fireworks not a good mix and the dog would freak out.

They started Wed. night here in lovely Willow Springs. Couple of big boomers before it was even dusk yet. The cat didn't do a total freakout, but she may be deaf from the trains, motorcycles, 18 wheelers, police/EMS sirens of her time in downtown Lockport.

Just hoping to not run into throw bottle rockets into the firepit guy again this year.

You aren't allowed to live in Lakemoor without a pack of dogs and a cache of dynamite.

I can't fucking stand these people. What's the joy and satisfaction from a loud noise that you have to spend money on and only lasts for less then a second? I'd be oK the next time I hear one of those go off that it's followed up by the guy who lit it screaming he just lost his arm.

Well, the rest of us got a good laugh about it then and still today.

Oh, wait, you're probably not talking about when you drunkenly whipped a full 5-hr energy bottle into an empty recycling bin ... :D

Yard?

Once again, I live in Chicago..and City Billies have front steps.

They were out in full force last night at 1 AM...BOOM......BOOM.......nothing cool...NO Fountains, roman candle, bottle tockets, butterflys, rolling tanks...FIREWORKS.....I brought over the mini rolling tanks....the things that spin....Ya Know...FIREWORKS.....Not Rock Blasting Gear.

These guys just drank beer....2 guys sit on a porch...run into the street, light something and you just hear MEGABOOM.....then the redneck chuckle of 2 drunk guys still posing like Beavis and Butthead...with the words 'Les Doit agen'....

So, would this have worked?

When I was about 10, I had this great idea to carefully unwind hundreds of Pop-Its and consolidate the gunpowder inside them into one giant table napkin Pop-It. After a couple hours (and no supervision), I had a tennis-ball-sized Pop-It ready to throw at the ground outside. On my way out the door, I somehow managed to drop this thing right onto the dining room carpet, which obviously caught on fire. I managed to put it out with bowls of water and mop all that up with towels. But the damage to the carpet was done, and I had to come clean with my parents about it after coming up empty for a believable way it happened without me being a guilty party in the whole thing. So yeah, I got grounded for that ...

My neighbor was launching a ton of these 3" mortars, until the cops showed up. They were pretty cool about it. A little less cool the second time they came over. He put the fireworks away at that point.

No, the guy was real and just rapped his way out of an arrest.

I guess football players need training on how to handle fireworks.
