Just found out my son is preparing It's A Wonderful Life for the fall high school play.

And I can't be Mr. Potter.

Having to pay a fee to have your college transcripts mailed somewhere is completely stupid.

Is this for school? If so, let the requesting institution pay the fee.

How does this work?

This is for my daughter. she took some classes at a local college through her high school. Now that she is enrolled in a 4 yr school they need her transcript of those classes in order to give her credit for them.

It's common for schools to request/pay for transcripts on the student's behalf. They are getting a shit-ton of your money and need the information. The school is ultimately a third party, but talk to an admissions advisor. Your daughter may have already signed a request for transcripts as part of the application process.

THanks. Had not heard of that. Will look into it.

Generally speaking, people don't give Boz Scaggs enough credit.

A friend and his family is a taking a road trip to Disney World. They must have made 20 Facebook posts in 3 days about their trip. And I am talking about pictures from having dinner at Papa John's in some podunk town in Kentucky and playing at a park at some roadside rest stop in rural Georgia. Yesterday, the wife posts a picture of her mileage walked for the day. I keep resisting the urge to post a smartass comment such as "wait- you're on vacation?"

Just had a wisdom tooth half-removed (too close to the nerve to take it all out) and it hurts like hell. Also, I have anterior pelvic tilt. Sucks.

People who need to order breakfast in a fast food drive thru between afternoon and the dinner hours.

And extend this to the workers who don't have these simpletons pull out of line so that everyone isn't stuck behind them waiting

$1500 dollars so my van can pass emission tests. I live in a county with two of the largest steel mills in the country along with a giant refinery and they are worried about our cars. Oh, and only 4 counties in the whole fucking state have to take emission tests and one of them isn't Marion County that just so happens to be Indianapolis. Only the biggest city in the state.

I think the city may be mistaking chihuahuas for gremlins.

You should be DB-ing that charlatan mechanic, or stop putting Aquanet in your gas tank.

Are you complaining about them or just don't understand why people have them?

I like all types of dogs but will probably only own little dogs.

Roll Tide on that.

Next time you spin 'Lowdown', pretend it's Len singing it, with a couple of "outta here"s peppered in.

My son is going to try playing soccer for the first time this year (he's 12). I just met his coach yesterday and he's pushing 350lbs. I think he got winded by the handshake. This does not bode well.

Today is almost over for me. I'm an hour ahead of most of you. It would have been my daughter's 22nd birthday. My second without her. I'm drunk and going to sleep.

About to take my kids to a Chicago Red Stars game. Not enthusiastic, but Julie Ertz and Christen Press are hot so there's that....
