I'll listen to some obscure song that I've known and loved forever, and these little dumbass Generation Z kids will comment that they came from X. X is usually some Youtube "Star" who happened to sing the song. Then these kids act like they discovered this song.

Yes. I think it has about half the sugar of soda pop. which is still a fair bit.

Gin and club soda is definitely not the same.

Why in the holy hot Hell are you reading YT comments in the first place?

Yeah. Diet tonic tastes like butt. I don't mind diet soda, but when it comes to mixers, diet tonic and diet ginger beer are the worst. Ever had a Moscow Mule with diet ginger? The worst.

My G&Ts are about 4oz gin and 2oz tonic anyway.

That’s a gosh dang tragedy when that happens. Sadly, it happens far too often.

Not having certain condiments is also a tragedy. Recently, I had to eat Chinese with no soy sauce. May as well have just hanged me.

I ordered General Tsos chicken to go, and got home and there was no white rice. So, it was basically just breaded chicken.

Steven Reichlen has no idea what he is doing as far as making recipes. I'm sure his smoking/grilling technique is on point, but he wastes a lot of expensive products by using them too early in the cooking process, and does a lot of extra nonsense steps that make no difference at the end of the cook. And every goddamn thing has to have a sauce. Even his smoked desserts have sauces. And the sauces are just things he thinks of that represent the style of cooking he is going for... making something asian? Let's make an asian salsa using some sesame oil, scallion, Chinese five spice, diced water chestnuts, freshly grated ginger, and diced shiitake mushrooms. In a blind taste test, I bet he would easily lose to a line cook at a suburban BBQ restaurant.

His grill is always too clean. Both of mine get a lot of use, and it shows.

You need to use your brush at least every 3-4 times. That stuff can not only mess up flavors but it can be a vector for all sorts of nasty shit.
