That skit was good.

The singer in 21 Pilots was in...black neck. Not sure why. And the drummer exerted an enormous amount of energy to do nothing out of the ordinary.

Leslie Jones still just yells most of her lines. Good for her for making a career out of it, I guess.

I've liked SNL most of this year. I didn't watch SNL last night.

I fast forwarded through about three of the sketches last night and I maybe fast forward through one a year. Unwatchable. If they can't come up with material for a week, go steal something decent from the early 80's that isn't current event themed and just re-shoot it and hope people don't notice. The drive through sketch reminded me of the caliber of Kevin Nealon's bar at the end of the truck runaway ramp.

You could hear the groans during the Burger King skit. Hell, Pete Davidson looked annoyed/embarrassed.

My wife for the first time ever was up late enough to watch SNL with me. Last night it was all-time terrible. I'm convinced more than ever the entire crew is coked out when they put this steaming pile of crap together. It's OK though because they are all young liberals who must sleigh the Trump monster.

Screw them,they suck hard!

I FF'd through 90% of it this morning. Bad, as everyone has said.

It just gets tiresome. Trump is a buffoon, we know. There has to be something else they can make fun of during Weekend Update.

that was the only thing I caught. SNL has had dead skits every week in its entire existence. But that one, that's right up there.

This show has been pretty crappy this year but Black Jeopardy last weekend with Tom Hanks was great.

Including the carcass of Ernie Banks -- they don't care how much it stanks.

HOLY SHIT! i was just informed that DAVE CHAPPELLE is hosting SNL tonight? it's evidently his ballyhooed "return to sketch comedy" and i'm shocked as shit that he's actually (able to be?) doing it! people have noted that he'd been around all week recording promos/bumpers/etc so he hasn't bailed yet... here's to hoping that he sees it through because i'll actually tune in for some appointment TV if dave freaking chappelle is hosting!

/me remembers being that one guy who was like OMFG HOLY SHIT FUCK YES!!!!!! when i was watching some comedy central roast circa 2002 and they showed a quick little 10-15 second commercial/promo/bumper that showed dave on his little stage [that they ended up using for the show] with a graphic like CHAPPELLE'S SHOW: COMING SOON! -- i was up on chappelle from his killing them softly standup set, and of course from one of my favorite movies of the time: undercover brother [go figure, huh? =] so upon discovering that DAVE CHAPPELLE was getting a comedy central show i was str8up fistpumping and YES and scheduling some appointment TV; go figure that once the show actually got on the air it was well received and commended for being a clever/edgy/boundary-pushing show... almost as if that one crazy dude who was bugging the shit of you to watch it was on to something, eh?

then, of course, they did that charlie murphy stories episode where dave chappelle dressed up as rick james and gave us "i'm rick james bitch!" and the show was vaulted into the stratosphere; it was officially "kind of really a pretty fucking big deal" relative to its inherently-modest status as a basic cable 30min sketch comedy show, and wannabe-esoteric elitists like myself had to grin and bear it as one of "my shows" had to be shared with the normie masses who wanted to run up to you all "FUCK YO COUCH!!!!" #CestLaVie, no?

and then, of course, a slightly lesser quality 2nd season aired and it was like dave was on the verge of doing bigger/better things when out of nowhere he up and popped a plane to africa and the rest is history. say what you want about the guy, but i reckon he was a bit too "real" to put up with the stresses/pressures/expectations/requirements for being some kind of a "next level" or "B/A list" star and uhhh.... yeah, kinda reminds me how aphex twin had his come to daddy and windowlicker EPs + music videos do some !!! on MTV and he promptly fucked off before he could join the ranks of the prodigy, moby, and fatboy slim on the periphery of pop music. he released a 1/2 filler 2xLP called drukqs to ride out his warp records contract, promptly fucked off again, and didn't officially come back until 2014 with the release of syro...

...so of course you know they got him doing magazine-article/promo pictures where he's holding a mask [of his own face from i care because you do] that's conveniently/coincidentally/"stylishly" covering up one of his eyes and all that. c'est la biz, no? i reckon dave chappelle and aphex twin could/would have a pretty interesting conversation if they ever got a chance to meet.

AHEM. anyways...

TLDR = DAVE FUCKING CHAPPELLE IS HOSTING SNL TONIGHT AND I'M ACTUALLY GOING TO WATCH THIS LIKE IT'S SOME PROPER APPOINTMENT/EVENT TELEVISION! #WELCOMEBACKDAVE!
