Doc, I was pretty skeptical about the loss of Rick and where this would go but I really think they are making the most early on of the re-shuffle and
time jump. Also introducing the Whisperers will be interesting before they take the mid-season break. Last episode was good and moved at a decent
pace overall. I'll be interested to see what Hilltop and Maggie look like. Doesn't sound like all of the groups necessarily get along swimmingly and
govern themselves differently.

yea I liked it as well. Time jumps as a story telling tool allow for all sorts of mysteries. The real question is can the producers follow through on delivering good answers to those mysteries. I guess the biggest mystery is what happened to Michonne and Alexandria that was so awful? She has as massive X branded on her back. There was a comment about letting in the wrong people in the past so I'm guessing they let in some really bad people or something. Either way, I'm assuming we'll get some flashback episodes that uncover that.


The Carol scene was cool, but really unbelievable even for TWD standards. Like no one is going to notice her walking in and dousing everyone in gasoline.


So with the Whisperers here the real question is will we see some major cast member deaths like in the comics?

Ezekiel mentioned the Fair coming up and in the comics the Whisperers abduct and behead at least 10-15 people from the Fair and put their heads on spikes. Both Ezekiel and Rosita end up on those spikes. They did both get a lot of screen time this episode.....

FYI did you guys know that the actor who plays Carol and Ezekiel's son as well as the actor who played him when he was younger are brothers AND their sister is the actress who played Carol's daughter Sophia.


Pretty unintentionally ironic that Carol has basically forgotten that she had a daughter, but now has adopted her daughter's real life brother.

I found it to be a good mid-season finale. Intrigued by the potential of the Whisperers and the escape of Negan.
I know at least 2 people that could potentially get whacked if they keep with the comics but I am not sure they can take too
many more losses of main characters.

apparently the got rid of Jesus cause he had the nerve to complain about the lack of action his character was getting. Don't blame him. He spent months training in combat to play one of the best characters from the comics and he ends up being little more than window dressing and background filler throughout his run.



Can't wait till next season when the leads are Tara and Gabriel.
