I want to watch this, but have to pay $2.99 an episode on Comcast because I don't have Xfinity online or something. What days is it on?

You can call me whatever you want, big boy, as long as you tell me what days it is on. I set up a series recording, but am not sure if I'll get the new ones for free. I can't even find Paramount on this stupid tv.

Yeah, blame the tv.

I started peacock to watch this series.. Outstanding, one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Another series that blows Sopranos out of the water. Im halfway through season 2.

 What?

I like Yellowstone and have enjoyed watching it, but it does not blow Sopranos out of the water. That is just crazy talk

It'd be even better if Jaime killed himself.

Yeah that’s a rough take.

Just got up through the s3 finale. I like it, but seems like one those where the setting is the best character on the show.

anyone catch that brief 1883 teaser during the superbowl? its a prequel series of Yellowstone about the Dutton family making their way out west. Going to be on Paramount+

Yeah..there was a rumor that a bigger network was going to pickup up Yellowstone, but I guess not. Not a huge fan of Paramount network.

cant imagine Paramount would allow it to happen. that show is massive. I actually just read they signed an exclusive deal with Taylor Sheridan for it and 1883. I would assume it keeps it where it is

Too many commercials on Paramount, but now that I'm caught up, I'll make sure to DVR the new ones to skip them.

That is true. They've steadily increased with each season. I remember season 1 would have, like, 2 for maybe 2-3 minutes and it was all show. Season 3, there were episodes that had a total of 29-31 minutes of show running time.

I’ve gone full old person to the point I actually get angry when I see a new streaming service.

I just want to overpay Comcast, have everything within one menu and not have to click around between 15 different apps to watch tv.

I used to be with ‘it’, but then they changed what ‘it’ was. Now what I’m with isn’t ‘it’ anymore and what’s ‘it’ seems weird and scary.

Yeah, all these +'s and Max are getting ridiculous. Everyone cutting cords to beat the Xfinity prices will end up paying the same amount in smaller monthly fees for 15 apps

 Right. I said this yesterday. People going to end up paying same as cable bill for 10 services.

Couple of episodes into s3; one of my favorite shows. Looks like they've backed off the "Monica gives another woke speech to her class" spot that seemed to be in every episode of s2.

Same price, 7 or 8 x the content.

Great ending to s3. Nice job leaving it open-ended as to who was behind the attacks on the Duttons. I have a feeling Rip, who was starting to soften up a touch, is going to go scorched earth on those responsible.

True but endless pain if navigation for that content and so much shit forced on you too. Nothing is perfect but man it would be nice if the UI's were standard. I actually like Apple's UI the best but I am not paying for Apple TV boxes for all my screens. Amazon is cheap because it is an ad machine and well I am used to it. Long term the networks figured out this game and the early return from consumers but they still won the game in the long run. It is fine though no one is forced to have everything and you can slide in and out of services depending what you want to watch. Just a lot more work navigating. Funny that these companies still want to turn a profit.

Per Yellowstone itself, I like the show. Kostner loves being on a horse and this is a good show for him. Not as campy as SOA but just as many loose ends that just kind of never get resolved (similar to the Russian in the Soprano's Pine Barrens episode) I do agree the setting is the star of the show and there is no doubt that Rip is really the heart of the show, the only guy you can really pull for.
