I thought Cranston sold that scene well. Like in WWE the moves don't work as well if the recipient isn't selling.

Have we ever found out what Gustavo did in Santiago? It's mentioned in BB and BCS, but I don't remember hearing the details revealed.

Their unwillingness to explore that thread, compared to the way they detail everything else....I predict....Prequel: The Gustavo Fring Chronicles.

Does anyone recall a show with as many interesting and well written side characters as BB? You could do a spin off of many characters: Gus, Mike, Tuco, the Cousins etc. I'm sure there are some in missing. of course Saul did get his own show. In terms of character depth I think they're stronger than the Sopranos side characters, and I loved Silvio and Paulie. Didn't have much range though.

Yep. Greatest show ever. I love BB. But so many great and different storylines in The Wire.

I rewatch it almost every year.

Agreed about its ranking as the top show of all time. Of ALL Time! (Is that the way to do it?)

I haven't re-watched it in a few years. I should give it another spin.

You're Mr. Carson, a stickler for the old ways, formality, and detail.

Bates was a brooding, angry man that I think killed a guy but was a very loyal servant.

Your top 3 are a guy that was too moralistic to survive and 2 guys who were servants in a castle.

So, if you ever need a job, hit me up.

Bates was the best character on the show.

The early and late-round "The Wire" numbers were solid for me. Warmed my heart.

Have no idea who Teal'c, Odo, Worf, Jet Black, and Betsy Heron are.

Was hoping for Castiel, but oh well.

Not a shot at you; seems from your posting you share the same snarky sense of humor. Actually, Chandler was my favorite character on the show (until he married Monica).

Sometimes internet info capture gimmicks can blow your mind like denisdman at a Plute M&G in the mid-2000's.

But like Jennifer Aniston's nipples, I'm still occasionally paying attention.

I've said it in the appropriate thread but Justified would be up there in well written side characters: Wynn Duffy, Art, Tim, the whole Crowder clan, the whole Bennett clan, Arlo, The whole Crowe clan, Limehouse, Shelby, Markham, Quarles, etc.
