Didn't want to but we started watching Serpent a few nights ago, gotta admit, pretty damn good. True story as well.

Not Netflix, but I'm watching Wrestlemania 3 on Peacock. Aretha Franklin sang American the Beautiful. Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura announcing with Mary Hart and Bob Uecker as special guests. 90k people in the stadium. Peak WWF.

was seeing Thunder Force w/ my son and his gf.

there was one part they got perfect when mccarthy says 'chicago is the best city in the world. the bears, the cubs' LOL. perfect. they did their research well there. I was telling my son that's what every chicagoan will tell you. they (we / me) love to brag they live in the 'BEST CITY IN THE WORLD'.

Great stuff whoever produced this movie!  well done.

Caught the first episode, and it was solid. Thanks for the recommendation.

So I've been watching Community the last couple weeks and it is very good. Some episodes are fantastic. My question is- what the hell happened to Allison Brie? She was so damn cute on that show. The was also doing Madmen at the same time. Since that show she has lost weight, lost her breasts, and wears too much eye makeup. The comment I read on a blog that she now looks like a crack whore is a little much but I understand the comparison.

Can we discuss the only thing that matters? When is Ozark's last season starting?

Speaking of Ozark, Bateman showed up in that stupid Thunder Force movie. His initial scene was actually kind of funny.

I feel like they're filming now? Probably sometime later in the year, not for a while.

I heard Netflix lost a few customers last quarter. The content is really starting to dry up. There's not enough classics and too many crappy B level new movies.

I've been wanting to take a break from Netflix but my wife wants to keep it. I am looking forward to Master of None since the first couple seasons were very good.

Haha yeah, I'm not saying they're falling apart, but I've actually found myself watching more Peacock lately. BTW, The Irishman is still garbage.

I never got around to watching it.

A coworker of mine recommended that “My Octopus Teacher” documentary, and I plan on checking that out soon.

Yep. The Serpent was a lot of fun, even though I could've done without the constant time shifting. I enjoyed their documentary on the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles, The Dig was a great wholesome movie, Seinfeld is coming this summer. Netflix is still above and beyond other streaming services.

“Stranger Things” most likely pushed back to 2022. The show started in 2016 and has 3 seasons in 5 years. The kids are gonna be in their mid-20s and having a quarter-life crisis by then.

The ugly kid with the wispy mustache has already aged out of his role.

Pesci saved it from being a total disaster. I read the book after watching the movie. This Irishman's story has more holes in it than swiss cheese. I don't believe any of it.

Volume 1 of this show was recommended to me back when it came out, and I am not a big animation guy, but I have to tell you it was tremendous. I really enjoyed the different stories and styles, and some of those stories were freaky. I am very much looking forward to this. I figured that series was one-and-done so this is a nice surprise.

My wife and I watched this and really enjoyed it. It is beautiful to look at, and very quiet and relaxing. The maker of the movie did a great job crafting a narrative to this that pulls you in and really gets you emotionally attached by the end.

"They hate you because you're different". Really? Half Bambi/half kid. This is where we're at now? Next movie he'll be teaming up with the often hated half puppy/half astronaut.

I agree the metaphor is a little heavy handed.
