That's because idiots fanboys like you who go see movies the weekend it releases despite knowing the shit reviews the movie is getting, in order to justify their idiocy they try to convince themselves that they actually enjoyed the shit movie they just watched. Hence the score.

I'm sure that score will go down considerably as people with taste and brains start to get suckered into watching this shit.

 Once again shakes is speaking truth to power. This movie looked bad in the trailers and I am sure it will suck if and when I do end up getting a chance to watch it. It was like everyone telling me how great Deadpool was and guess what it sucked. Most superhero movies are pretty terrible.

Your post was great until this monumentally bad thought. Deadpool might be the best marvel universe movie released.

I had alot of friends who's opinions on movies I trust tell me the same thing, but I was monumentally bored by Deadpool. I don't really care for Ryan Reynolds to begin with, so that might have colored my opinion on it. I dug Guardians of the Galaxy though.

Deadpool was critically acclaimed, and broke multiple box office records. It actually does hold up with multiple viewings partly because the plot isn't a save the world scenario, and Ryan Reynolds gave "maximum effort." Agreed most superhero movies don't hold up under extra scrutiny, but I grew up a comic book nerd so this is all gravy for me. It's not like I'd rate any comic movie besides the Dark Knight up there with my favorites like 'Apocalypse Now', 'City of God', or 'Casino'. If it's not your cup of tea Phil, it's all good. There's no real point arguing the validity of a movie with people dressed up in capes and tights.

I grew up a comic book nerd too, and have a alot of affinity for alot of these characters, I just like good movies and alot of super hero movies are bloated messes that are overlong and overblown spectacles without the writing and plot to remain interesting. I actually think it's true for alot of current modern blockbusters not just superhero movies. Either way I don't think I am going to change anyone's opinion here I am just stating mine. I also wish that they didn't make the Joker a hot topic manager, but you can't always get what you want.

I respect that Phil. Yeah, this interpretation of Joker seems to be hit or miss with fans. Following what Ledger did was going to be a challenge in it's own right. I guess Leto just wanted to do his own thing. I didn't mind it. I do wish the character was allowed more screen time for the audience to get a real taste.

Agree with your opinion on blockbusters, but for the vast majority of these summer movies it has always been this way.

Yeah, Deadpool was a good movie, that's almost as bad a thought as 312 saying Fury Road was bad. I don't think we really saw enough of Joker to say what he's like, or at least not enough that if he was a lot different next time anybody would care much.

For what it's worth I loved Fury Road and thought that was the rare modern action blockbuster that didn't waste time with extraneous plot or overstay its welcome by wanting to be a 3 hour epic. All killer no filler.

Honestly, wouldn't put too much stock into what Shakes posts.

Lists of anything are pretty subjective, but yeah Deadpool is right up there for me as well.

In no order:

Deadpool
Avengers
DOFP
Winter Soldier
GOTG

This would probably be my top 5 also. Honorable mention to the first Thor movie also for myself.

Guardians of the Galaxy
Winter Soldier
First Avengers
Iron Man 3

Most of the other ones are mediocre, but not actively terrible. Deadpool is on the same level as the bad solo Wolverine movies they made. Not even fun bad.

X2 - Bad
X-men 3 - Real Bad
Wolverine: X-Men Origins - Stunningly bad
X-Men First Class - OK
Wolverine - OK
X-Men: DOFP - Good
X-men: Apocolypse - OK

DOFP is in my top 5. Just above X2 for me. X2's 3rd act was mediocre compared to the rest of the film.

Fox nearly ruined the entire X-Men franchise. Please make your argument that they have executed any of this well. The only reason I rate DOFP so highly is because they were able to completely whitewash the abomination of every X-Men movie before it.

I have no mouth, and I must scream is the most gut wrenching short story I've ever read. Fucking haunting.

That being said, the alternate ending where Wade Wilson is actually alive and that abomination was a clone of some sort was the ending they should have gone with.

Marvel movies

Guardians of the Galaxy
X2
Blade (criminally underrated)
Ant-Man
Deadpool

Looking at my list I obviously rate the comedy in comic book movies more than most. It's why I don't have much love for Winter Soldier or the Avengers movies despite their quality. Avengers: Age of Ultron sucks though.

I liked half the movie. The half with the Squad was fine. Their mission sucked, the "bad guy" sucked. Amanda Waller sucked after I saw her waste innocents. Dumb,Dumb,Dumb.

The Joker looked and acted like The Mask.
