Didn't we have a Netflix thread to discuss the best shows they have? I can't find one.

Anyway, anyone got any good ones? I just got my account back and watched Stranger Things this weekend. Black Mirror season 3, episode 1 sucked, so I'm not going back.

Any other hidden gems out there?

If you think you would like a stylized show about the origins of hip-hop in 1970's New York, the Get Down was pretty good. The lead actress is smoking hot, too.

3% is a new one that is a Brazilian project so it's dubbed in English.

Only through the first episode, but so far not terrible.

Let me help you out with some fantastic titles on Netflix.

House of Cards
Narcos
Trailer Park Boys series
Daredevil
Jessica Jones
Luke Cage

Now, let me introduce you to the real hidden gems of Netflix, the British shows. Every one of these are amazing...

Black Mirror is hit or miss. I'm 4 eps into season 3 and I think I only liked #4. I agree that episode #1 sucked.

Stranger Things was great but you already know that.

Black Mirror is still great. I found all the Marvel offerings to be fairly boring.

Try The Fall. British detective show with Gillian Anderson. First two seasons were very good.

I should clarify regarding the Marvel shows. Jessica Jones was amazing, one of the best shows on Netflix. DD and Luke Cage were good, not great. But all worth watching if you're a comic fan.

I hear the Fall is good, not great.

I'm apparently very out of touch with pop culture.

Shameless has most of its seasons on Netflix now. Show is hilarious. Takes place in Chicago, too. Ton's of T&A, as well.

yea, if you've never seen HBO then for sure HBO would be the one to get. There's probably 20 amazing exclusive shows on there from the past 10 years or so.

But assuming you're up to date on that, Netflix is the answer.

I got bored with Jessica Jones. Maybe should give it another chance. Stuck through with DareDevil, but did not think it was worth watching. Second season really dragged.

First season of The Fall was borderline great. Next two were entertaining at least.

I'm of the opinion most of the original content of Netflix is garbage. Their shows have about one good season in them. House of Cards became an unwatchable bore in season 2. Same with Peaky Blinders and Narcos. Bloodline was okay but losing Ben Mendelsohn will torpedo the show. Couldn't even make it through the pilot of the women's prison show.

Fuller House is a great mindless watch if you were a TGIF fan as a kid. As a show, it isn't good. As a nostalgic look back at a show many of us loved as a kid it was great.

"Jack Taylor"

Set in Galway, the series is based on Ken Bruen's crime novels and features Iain Glen as the protagonist, Jack Taylor, an old-school detective, and a maverick who often drinks much more than is good for him. After he is sacked from the Gardaí (the Irish police force) for assaulting a politician he had stopped for a traffic violation, Jack begins to work as a private investigator, reluctantly taking on cases the police will not investigate.

We watched the first two seasons of The Fall. Couldn't get into the third season.

Trailer Park Boys is great for mindless viewing when you're doing something else or too drunk to sit up straight.

I've only watched the first season but I enjoyed Bojack Horseman.

Just finished The Last Kingdom yesterday. Wow, what a great show. One of the best on Netflix IMO. Another home run by BBC.

I've never watched GOT but the rest are all appointment TV.

The Night Of is a great miniseries. Westworld is awesome scifi with great performances.

I'd throw in a nod to season 1 of True Detective. Solid binge material.
