Not that anybody cares, but 6 years ago today I played 'Eastbound & Down' live on my wife's uncle's radio show. I think that is when that sumbitch spmack called in requesting Freebird.

That's a very earworm-y tune.

That movie is '70s as hell.

I recently saw there is some custom company taking new Camaros and converting them into Smokey version Trans Ams.

That song is awesome. Jerry Reed was great, and I don't even like country.

Its probably the quintessential 70's movie.

If she is The Bandit, does that make you The Frog? I'm so confused...

Tango & Cash! It was on the other night. I still want to know if the ziplining down the electric cable is actually possible. And why were several large burning fires allowed in the prison? The guards were marching them right by the fires without giving a solitary fuck.

Blast From The Past

My wife loves this movie and, can't lie, it's pretty funny. On one of the HBOs right now.

Conceptually, it is hard to remember a not so great movie unless one stumbles across it. The mention of Willem Dafoe conjured up Wild at Heart. I'll go with that.

The Rocker, on now. It makes me laugh. Dwight from the office and the ever sexy Emma Stone.

Christina Applegate....

idk if this counts as a "not so great movie" but i saw that one of the ghetto movie channels (one with commercials, not movieplex or whatever the starz-owned "Ghetto Movie Channel" with a capital GMC is) was playing "The Shootist" today, and you don't have to have an affinity for "Ol Dollar" to enjoy that one!

Basically, it's a movie where a terminally-cancered gunfighter John Wayne goes around sipping opium and talking shit to everybody before he unleashes his master plan: bringing everyone who he's had/got beef with to town so he can kill them all [in fell swoop] before he dies!

with that description i dare someone to tell me how that movie isn't 100.0% in my wheelhouse! =P

I dunno, Roadhouse was on last night, and I just watched it. Same thing happened with Cable Guy.

My take- Roadhouse has some compelling albeit outdated characters. It's fun bad. Cable Guy is a truly awful movie with lots of individually funny scenes. Yes I laugh at the Medieval Times scene and the pick-up basketball game. It is disturbing.

I'm a sucker for those '70s Chevy & Goldie movies. All the "Thin Man" movies.
