It's on cable now. Cinemax.

Why did Kate Winslet talk like an American in the opening scene and then develop an Eastern European accent a little later on in the movie? I didn't get that.

It was a decent movie. It was low budget as far as location expenses. It was pretty much just shot in a theater the entire time. Lots of dialogue. I just wonder what was true and what was exaggerated to make the movie dramatic.

It was decent. Better then Brockmire.

I have a thing for Kate Winslet. Yeah, she's not a super model. Never was. Even when she was young. She's in her 40s now. But I still find her attractive. I like the smart girls. She's not the Hollywood bimbo. And they didn't even try to make her pretty for this movie.

An attractive Kate Winslet being in it also being intentionally glamoured-down doesn't make it a good movie.

Brockmire did struggle to keep up the early momentum. Still better than this movie.

Well, a simple Kate Winslet not sexed up makes me think I could get her. With the proper charm.

I thought the movie was decent. I'll never watch it again. But it killed 2 hours and I didn't feel like stopping watching. That makes it decent.

We'll agree to disagree.

Wasn't there a 5 minute scene of him washing his feet in a public toilet?

With no explanation?

What was that?

I'm not going to defend this movie as being great or even good but I wouldn't say it was bad. Of course, having a film written by Sorkin about one of the most fascinating people in tech and have Jeff Daniels play a supporting role and it would be a really impressive feat if I didn't like it.

I never saw the one with Ashton Kutcher as Jobs. Heard it was even worse. Can't bring myself to see it.

Of course nothing will ever being able to compete with Pirates of Silicon Valley. Noah Wiley as Jobs for the win.

You mean Anthony Michael Hall as Bill Gates.

That was good as well.

Honorable mention to John DiMaggio aka Bender as Steve Ballmer.

Damn, I really enjoy his work, but some guy on the internet told me he's bad, so I guess I'll just stop now.

HE CAN'T WRITE DIALOGUE. Everyone sounds like Aaron Sorkin. Every character has the same cadence and the same turns of phrase in every single show/movie. Furthermore, you can trace great deals of the modern shitlib movement, the one that failed us to such an extent that the Republicans have a unified government, back to growing up watching The West Wing and learning that politics has dispensed with ideology and is now just a job for smart people to walk around smartly doing smart things. The Social Network was only as good as it was because other people had to come in and rescue his meandering pattery script. Sorkin blows. Dumbass crackhead.
