This is my sleeper hit movie of the summer. With a pretty deep cast, and one the most talented directors around you wouldn't think it would be under hyped. ImO for whatever reason it isn't getting the hype it probably should.

All the car stunts are the real deal. No cgi. I've read great things about the way music is incorporated into the film. With Edgar Wright's directing and editing ability this doesn't surprise me. It looks like Jamie Foxx is playing Motherfucker Jones, and I'm all for that.

High hopes for this film.

This is the 3rd trailer. The first two explain the background a little better.

Starts playing up here next Wednesday. Going to try and see it that night. Still 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Fault in our Cars

Edgar Wright is awesome, but not for everybody.

I agree. You can watch his films multiple times and notice something new each viewing.

Some people just can't get into his work tho. To each is own.

The hype on this film seems legit tho.

I'm not much of a reviewer, but I thought this movie was just ok overall.

The opening sequence was great! It dragged a bit after that though. I was actually bored about halfway through and considered leaving. I'm not an audiophile, so the music was a little lost on me and I found his music "quirk" was really overplayed and borderline annoying. The final sequence was pretty exciting, though mostly predictable.

I'd wait for it on Netflix.....

Looks like a good "summer" movie.

Phenomenal movie.

Let me say first, I'm not a car chase guy at all. A lot of times car chases seem forced and poorly choreographed. That is not the case for Baby Driver.

The first 2 action sequences are some of the best car chase scenes I've ever watched in a movie. The dialogue moves like an Edgar Wright film, but this is a more serious movie than he has ever made. Don't let that fool you into thinking this film doesn't have that Wright charm to it. The witty banter, romantic side plot, and fast edits are all present.

If you are a music fan you NEED to see this movie. Various popular and obscure music across the last 40 years is sampled.

Elgort, Foxx, Hamm, and Spacey all carry their weight equally. Foxx is great as the antagonist. Foxx, Lily James, and Elgort really steal the show here.

Even though the pacing is very fast throughout, the film feels like it drags a little bit in the third act. I can't stress enough tho, the technical ability of Wright to edit the music seamlessly throughout the movie is something to admire. Really just a well done film.

Just saw this yesterday, I thought it was good overall. The end of it became a bit over the top and unbelievable with Hamm showing
up everywhere, but if you can suspend belief on that front it was certainly entertaining. I had never seen the girlfriend of Baby before
and she was awfully cute. The music really acts like a best supporting actor and keeps everything moving along. Extra creepy watching
Kevin Spacey in his role as a bully. I couldn't help but wonder if he had sexually harassed Elgort during filming or not. :(

#YUP

The third act isn't as good as the first two, but I'm confident saying this is a great movie.
