Anyone else going to check this out? Been seeing a lot of commercials for it while watching Fargo. See below for quick synopsis.
First two episodes co-written by John Singleton. I'm not sure what to expect but I will give the first 2-3 episdoes a shot. Premieres
July 5th.

Set in Los Angeles in 1983, the series revolves around the first crack cocaine epidemic and its impact on the culture of the city. The series follows the stories of several characters whose lives are doomed to intersect: 19-year-old drug dealer Franklin Saint, Mexican wrestler Gustavo Zapata, CIA operative Teddy McDonald, and Luica Villanueva, the daughter of a Mexican crime boss

definitely. I give FX and AMC a lot of leeway when it comes to new shows based on their track record of putting out great stuff.

What I found interesting about this show was that when you watch other FX shows or I believe AMC shows the commercials concentrate on the actual crack dealing and when I was watching the US Open it was all about the FBI and their attempt to shut it down. It's like they did a completely different commercial just for the golf audience.

they should've shown a commercial with the scene from the show where the dealer tells a potential client that crack can improve your short game.

BOth networks have really put out some great stuff that can rival HBO at its best.

We're coming up on 10 years of original AMC Programming next month as Mad Men premiered July 2007.

Such a great start to a series.

I'm embarrassed to admit the reason I didn't watch Mad Men when it first came out was due to Lewis Lazare's review in the Sun Times. He was their advertising columnist, and he gave the show a terrible review, saying it wasn't realistic enough. I remember not liking Lazare because he wore a bow tie, so I have no freaking idea why I didn't give Mad Men a shot, other than I was already watching too much TV. This is at the top of my binge list. And, eff Lewis Lazare and his douchey bow tie.

I'll wait for a few reviews, if they don't go really hard at Reagan for orchestrating this epidemic I have no interest, tell the truth or don't waste my time.

Watched the pilot episode this morning and I found it to be quite good. I had read some mixed reviews about it but enjoyed it
quite a bit. The only thing that I thought was a stretch was how quickly the main character got into the position that he did, but
overall it worked and the series is off and running. I continue to be surprised with what FX can get away with as far as content
and language on a show that is on cable TV. I am not sure they will be able to keep up all the momentum they built up and it
will be interesting to see how the writing is long term but I didn't feel like I wasted an hour of my time.

I watched about half of one episode. The orgy at that one house seemed like it could be fun.

Yeah that was interesting. I give it an award for best use of a straw on cable TV 2017.

Franklin's story is the best of the 3 so far, followed by Teddy and then Oso and the cartel.

Has anyone been keeping up with this series at all? I have watched the first 3 episodes but it fell off the radar for me. I was going to start
diving back into it this week and try to knock a couple more down. It has been good but not great, just wanted to give it a few more episodes,
and with GOT done for a while I think I will have the time to give it a chance.

I've enjoyed it. The 3 storylines have gotten better each week, IMO. There's 2 episodes left.

Pretty solid 1st season. All 3 storylines grew on me as the season went on.

I did a mini marathon yesterday and watched 3 or 4 episodes. Last one I watched this morning was when they went
to Oakland and are heading back to LA with a new kind of product. All 3 storylines have been pretty good like you
mentioned. Franklin's storyline is the furthest fetched of the three ( they are all pretty out there ), especially this last
episode in Oakland. I just allow myself to suspend disbelief and go with it because it moves the story along. I think
I have 3 or 4 left and should finish by the weekend. Been surprisingly impressed with this one overall. Another solid
FX series.

Finished this early Saturday morning. Wish I would have kept up with this series when it was fresh and new. Very happy that I stuck with it
and was some of the best TV I have seen all year, better than the last season of Fargo ( not a high bar according to some ). Thought all of
the acting was very good and the story was solid. The finale was very intriguing and lots of twists and turns. Everything lines up for another
season and I just read that it got renewed for another season. If you are looking for an interesting series I recommend this one if you can
get it On Demand.

as the season went on.

I think you will dig it RR. Starts a little slow out of the blocks but builds and gets better as season goes on.

I'm finally off on a Thursday night, so I'll watch episode 2 tonight before episode 3 starts. All the characters are entertaining. Franklin's crew is funny. I find his uncle amusing as well.

Very solid start to this season. Best show I have seen that gets the least amount of pub and hype.

Got all caught up last night, shit is getting good. I knew old girl would know Soledad was a cop after that scene. Pedro is in on it imo.
