When Rick asks me again how I could like Bernie Sanders even though I disagree with him on some issues, he can refer to this video. He's one of the few politicians who who talks about real issues. His criticisms of Trump are limited to the actual impact he's having on people, not some stupid bullshit about Russia or Stormy Daniels. You couldn't say the same for 99% of politicians.

But he's not a Democrat or something.

People like to talk about how irrelevant he is, but I still think he has value. He's one of the only "liberals" who will consistently take on the Regressive Left. I generally view the opening “interview” as more of a discussion than an interview so I don’t mind that. I agree with Golden Jet. I thought Shapiro got to say what he wanted for the most part and he came off better than usual imo. But then again so do a lot of people on that show (Milo).

Yeah, Maher is convinced that Trump colluded with Putin to deny Hillary Clinton because... TRUMP! And then he brings up these Mueller indictments none of which have anything to do with any collusion. He sounds unhinged.

Maher is sort of an enigma. Some of his views are spot-on and contradict modern Leftist orthodoxy in an honest way, and there are certain topics where he calls bullshit well on Conservatives too. And then some of his other ideas make him sound loony. It's like there's no middle ground with him.

I honestly think part of him kind of likes what Trump represents if he was honest with himself, but his previous personal disputes won't allow him to think it. Trump sued him several years back.

This interview with Shapiro was different. Usually when he has a Conservative on, they suck each other off about how much they hate political correctness. Felt like he was purposely trying to be tough on Shapiro. He probably got shit after he basically dry humped Milo on live TV.
