This was pretty good. Reminded me of Bird Box, where the monsters get you through your vision.

Only problem with that book was that I was listening to Mully and Hanley just before reading it, and so when the protagonist's brave and wise boyfriend arrived on the scene, I envisioned Mully throughout. It made the book a little less scary and a little more silly, but it was still a good read.
