If you're just looking for porn I can point you to a few sites. This is a tv show.

If I wanted to watch a tv show with ugly naked people on HBO, I could just watch Real Sex.

In 3.5 hours it might have 30 seconds total of ugly naked people. Are you 12 years old?

Anyone other than FF think this is worth watching? His TV opinions are horseshit and should be taken with a grain of STFU.

It's pretty good.

Like the building of the characters and seeing where it's gonna go.

Maggie Gyllenhaal's story is the one I don't give a shit about.

I haven't caught up on Snowfall. Watched the first 3 episodes and enjoyed them but got behind.

I honestly think you will enjoy Snowfall more Shakes. The Deuce has been pretty decent thus far but I think you will be able to get into the other
series a little bit more. If you don't like it after 3 or 4 episodes you aren't going to like the rest of it. I thought it was one of the most underrated
shows I watched this year and will be coming back for a 2nd season.

Anybody else been keeping up with this? Next week is the season finale. The show has been picked up for a second season. I was really
on the fence about it to begin with but it has really grown on me. The writing is pretty darn good and I like a majority of the characters. I
really am not sure how long they can keep this going or where it is headed but it has been surprisingly good in my opinion. Not great, but
definitely watchable.

It's great but it will be like The Wire and go unappreciated and probably get canceled after a few seasons.

Nah. It's very good and getting good critical acclaim. Simon even got to finish Treme and The Wire despite horrrific ratings. He's gonna get to finish this.

I'd make it more akin to Treme than The Wire. Treme was another show I really liked that had strong characters but the ratings trailed off
and it wrapped up a bit prematurely

Those got critical acclaim too. Im just saying, it's not poised to be one of HBO's big sunday night America watches shows.

Oh, yeah, well of course. David Simon doesn't do those type of shows. At its best hopefully it's The Leftovers.

The name of this show perfectly describes its quality.

Won't last past this season.

Heading into 'John From Cincinatti' territory.

Ugh. This show is boring and Maggie Gyllenhall's looks make me barf.

I agree on Maggie.

I care more about Vince's story than I do anyone else's.

Anyone else notice who that cop was that came into the parlor to shake them down for $200 a month? I was pretty sure I knew but just
checked IMDB and sure enough, it was him.

I thought it was a pretty solid first season overall. It's a drama so there isn't always going to be a lot of action but a couple of
surprising deaths in the last couple of episodes certainly made it a bit more interesting. Like all of Simon's other work, it is
a study in the characters and he doesn't fail to flesh them out in this series either. It's not going to be for everyone, but I
liked the storylines and acting for the most part, and really enjoy the costumes and period vehicles. Biggest surprise to me
has been James Franco. I used to think he was a one trick pony and a bit of a hack when it came to acting but the last couple
of things I have seen him in have been pretty good.

too much fake jizz...not that I'm demanding real jizz

It will always have to be a niche show for the reasons I previously stated. There is just too much really hard core stuff thrown in to every episode to have it on when kids of any age are around. In some ways, the stuff they show is more hard core than a Skinemax simulated porn.

Bumping this since season two started up last weekend. I haven't checked it out yet but this was a series where I didn't have a lot of
expectations for and it ended up being a pretty solid show in season one.

Finally had time to catch season opener. I really liked the first season but I'm not really a fan of time jumps. Still, it was a solid opener in terms of catching us up on everything currently going on.

The weight loss for that Harvey characters was shocking. I guess the actor IRL had a thyroid issue that made him look a lot bigger in season 1 but he still looks sickly in this one.

Cici remains the only interesting pimp for the most part. Larry's ok I guess.

Glad they are bringing Leon(the cook who shot Reggie Love) back in the upcoming episodes.

Saw this on the DVR this morning but didn't have the hour to invest in it. Likely watch it after work this afternoon.

Nice start back into it. So based on the time that the cook guy has been in jail we are looking at like 4-5 year move ahead?
