Saw it on HBO last night. Never heard of it before.

Wow, what a deep movie!

So many clues and metaphor's I realized after the ending.

No wonder the kiddies really loved this one.

I'm watching it now.

Terrible so far.

I think it worked very well in the horror/suspense genre. I didn't find the allegorical character as convincing. It was clichéd. What I did like is that it wasn't overtly set in any location so that it wasn't just a statement about the south.

This movie wasn't Princess Diaries bad but it certainly was not good.
A few good things though:
Casting was good. Took me a bit to figure out that the dad was that weenie guy from Billy Madison. I thought it was joe Maddon at first. Mom and daughter looked like real family. And no movie is a total turkey with Stephen root. But... dudes friend was a cliche and the silly white people made me want to claw my eyes out with a Melon baller.

However it was ridiculously predictable. I had the whole thing figured out by the time Joe Maddon was serving dinner and the skeezy brother was telling stupid stories.

All in all I've found worse ways to waste 2 hours and this was less painful than a bears night game but still I was left as empty as a box of hostess cupcakes on the floor of Julie's car.

Allison Williams looks better when she hangs around uglier people on the set of Girls

Catherine Keener has ballooned.

I thought the guy who played the husband was Fisher Stevens or the guy from The Warriors, but it was Bradley Whitford who seems to have retained his smugness from The West Wing.

Good movie, but I must've missed the deep part of it full of metaphors. Only lesson I learned was the same lesson people have been trying to cram down our throats for a couple years now. Whitey is bad.

I took my son to see this in the theater. I was expecting it to be awful.....going in with such a low expectation, I walked out pleasantly surprised. I thought it was decent.

Well, what it was about wasn't exactly a secret when you see it over a year later.

This, right here, is a professional level movie quote. This shit belongs on a poster.

I thought this was going to be an Elanie Benes spinoff.

I'm wondering if the woman who asks "Is it true?" in a German accent is an homage to Lili von Shtupp from Blazing Saddles? If so, great way to weave in comedy.

I have heard secondhand quotes that Peele said that the parts you laugh at are only a reaction to avoid your discomfort. I don't see how this is true, even in his own mind. There is obvious comedic relief.

Just got around to watching this. It was ok as a horror/comedy and it made a lot of money, but Best Picture nomination? Holy shit, no. Maybe Best Picture for B movies.
