Well if he said "I get it" it simply means that he figured out that the best way to go through life is high on drugs. It was just the peyote talking.

We all would think we "get it" on peyote.

It is basically a combination of weed and acid - Native Americans used it to conjure up spirits, which (as you could tell on the show) would do the trick. It is found in the flowers of cacti. Here is the Wikipedia link.

This whole season has been teasing Tony's thoughts about putting all this bullshit life behind him. I think this is all coming to Tony getting the hell out of dodge unannounced at some point and right as he tries thats when either the feds or someone in the family catches him trying to take off for good and Tony gets killed or arrested.

I still think at some point we are going to see Adriana in all of this. I don't think Silvio killed her. All we saw was his gun shot and that was it. He could have purposely missed after rethinking it. She could have told him something F'ed up like, "I'm pregnant." They've been teasing Adrianna quite a bit in the past year and a half. She was really the only innocent character in the series and maybe Silvio just couldn't do it in the end. And then he made an arrangement for her to get out of the country. We've seen these guys from time to time have a heart. Not saying my guess is right, but wouldn't be shocked that once Adrianna (where ever she is) gets wind of Christopher dying, she decides she has no reason to hide the truth anymore and spill everything to the feds.

Did they ever discover her body? I can't remember. In this case, everything I just said is bullshit.

I have a feeling Silvio and/or Adriana may make an appeararance with the feds to bring Tony down before he gets out of the business.

Pretty intense episode last night towards the end. Baccala was the lovable goof of the show who didn't seem so bad until Tony finally made him kill somebody. With all these terrorism references they've been throwing out there I half expect something terror-related will show up in the finale next week.

Spoilers Ahead...

I absolutely hated last night's episode. After all these years getting to know these characters, they just kill 2 of the main ones off in one of the most boring, uninspiring manners possible with zero buildup or tension. It stunk of laziness and killing people off just for the sake of killing them.

I liked it Hawkeye. To me it just conveyed how quickly those things can be done. When it was just some nobody it was done quick and clean so why wouldn't it be the same for the top guys (although not so clean in Sil's case).

What I didn't get is why they wouldn't go after Tony first so he couldn't go underground the way Phil did. Didn't make sense to me.

I'm glad to see next week isn't just them hiding out in a safehouse trying to avoid everything.

Womder why that was.

They threw this together quick for one episode. But they did lead up to this in the prior epidsodes.

On a side not. Meadow is no longer hot. She's not even 30 yet.

Plus Tony's shrink lost her fastball really quick too. She was very good looking for the first 3 years of the show. For her age of course. Now she looks her age.

Anybody else smelling a Paulie rat.
Why wasn't he on the NY hit list?
Is it due to all his prior contacts & jail time visits?
Remember Tony grilling Paulie about the Ginny Sacramoni joke in the seemingly random Tony & Paulie road trip episode?

Paulie is the same Mgmt. level as Silvio & Bobby.
He should have been a target.
I see him as the Brutus to Tony's Caesar.

Edit:
I see Simmons has the same idea on his ESPN blog. Now I know for sure that it won't happen.

I think the New York guys see Paulie as a not to bright guy, more of an enforcer than a leader, that can be made head of the Jersey mob after Tony is gone. Paulie could run a "puppet family" in Jersey with the strings being pulled by New York.

I think the New York guys see Sil and Bobby as a threat, and Paulie as a joke.

Panther, you don't post here enough. One of my favorite stories of all time was when you and your boys went to kick some ass at the Evans Scholar House.

those are all very believable...

i just have a feeling they are going to leave it open for a movie and the christopher screenplay idea seems to fit that the best.

A rumor I saw some where is the final scene is Melfi in an ice cream shop reading about everything that happens with "Time waits for No One" by the Stones playing in the background.

The most likely thing I read there was "Will A.J.'s newfound conscience lead him to turn his father into the cops? Will Tony have to make a decision between saving his son or saving himself?"

That seems like a likely plot twist to me.

Why would you not post spoilers in this thread? I mean it says Spoilers in the title.

Thanks a lot, David Chase. You really fucked with your audience. You wasted our time. I thought "Seinfeld"'s last episode was an f-you to its audience.

You not only took the money and didn't deliver, you made everyone wait over a year for each mediocre, bull shit season where the characters got more dilluded, and the situations got more predictable.

I'll quote a hero of mine now:

It sucking fucks it fucking sucks it fucking blows, it's a piece of shit.

And I don't like it.

Good night.

Let me just add this:

Hey David Chase.

Congratulations on your movie deal. Hopefully your piece of shit Sopranos movie comes out in the winter of 2009, where you can make it a 3 parter, and it won't finish until 2020. That'll be fun.

What a shitload of fuck.

If I seem bitter--you shoulda seen me the night "Seinfeld" ended. I raised the roof.
