More action. More Brolin, Del Toro. No Blunt. Same music too.

Still really want to see the first one. Maybe over the holidays I'll be able to find it.

The score of the first film was intense. If you watch it turn the sound up

I finally watched the first one this weekend. I thought it was a very good movie although I called out the ending as soon as the first Mexican identified him as Medellin.

The entire ending? To include what happens at the dinner table?

I didn't think they would go full Walder Frye on them.

No. The premise of the ending that the US was favoring the stability of a single cartel far from the border over an open market where you could watch economic Darwinism in action in Juarez through binoculars in El Paso.

as an aside, El Paso has been presented in cinema over the past decade as one of Trump's shitholes: No Country For Old Men, The Counselor, Sicario, etc. have all provided an image of a frightening dystopia. I don't think the Sun Bowl even exists anymore.

El Paso is currently one of the featured shooting locales in Live PD - doesn't seem like a real idyllic town.

Caught the first Sicario this over the weekend and it didn't disappoint.

Just got home from Tinseltown.
It was great.
Intense, the first one was great but I liked this one better.
I'd imagine there will be another one in 2020 or so......

Just saw 1 and 2.

Gotta say - pretty damn good.

Anybody got other recommendations for recent movies like this (besides Wick, which I've already seen)?
