I remember loving/being freaked out by that movie as a yute.

Broke it out a few weeks ago to watch with my son and boy does it not hold up. :(

It's still better than the remake though which seemed to focus on high school kids who also happened to be highly trained special forces.

I have to disagree that Pale Rider could be considered a bad film.

Ranking Eastwood's westerns, there's Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Then Outlaw Josey. And third is Pale Rider.

Lee Van Cleef is great in a Few Dollars More, but it isn't a very good film. Like the scene where Cleef is shooting the hat in the air for 5 minutes. It's just absurd. Fistful of Dollars is worse than a Few Dollars More, because of the bad overdubbing of the voices and senseless massacre scenes. I found it stupid.

At least Pale Rider had a good plot and casting and excellent cinematography with the mountain scenes. And it had Richard Kiel, a.k.a. Jaws. The ending scene is quintessential Eastwood.

Unforgiven would be forgettable, if not for Richard Harris and Gene Hackman. It's a bad #MeeToo movie. One of the worst films ever to win an Oscar.

If I had to pick a bad but good Eastwood film, it would be Firefox. One of my all-time favorites growing up, but not a critics choice. "You must think in Russian, not in English!"

Yeah Firefox was something. It looked really really cool to people that didn't know what an SR-71 was. Also, cheesy effects for the flying sequences.

KGB Agent: "Your papers, please."

Eastwood kills him.

Clint: "But he said my papers were not in order!"

Partisan: "But zey are in order! Zey are in order!"

I'm sorry, but I still love this flick. "Your papers, please" is my favorite line from any Gestapo/Ruskie film.

BTW, I could have stared at that picture for a year and never once thought of Tawny Kitaen.

 Really. She looks kinda similar to the Chimp next to Clint Eastwood on the pic directly above your post.

It has been a while.

I recognize that the whole movie was simply a series of skits to make use of/expose the talents of the actors, and as such the story has very little continuity, nor does it make much sense. Grown men with jobs and families just find a different house if the college needs to tear that one down, or whatever. Never an explanation why starting the fraternity will fix any of the problems. Do frats keep members who aren't enrolled in the college? How does Blue go to class, who paid the tuition? Man, it's been a long time, I'll have to watch it again now to rebuild my feeble argument.

To your analogy, though. Animal House had a couple of minor continuity issues, but, for the most part stayed on course.

But, remember the thread is terrible movies I loved.

I watch Vegas Vacation everytime it is on. I have memorized about 60% of the script for some reason.

Pure Country

It's a tremendous mix of '90s country music, bad acting, and a classic mystery man story. I love it.

If the search function worked, maybe I could find an already established "Shit movies that you peaced out on half way through".

Tried watching The Snowman last night.
I knew it got horrible reviews, no script, no plot, no box office, et al.
But I was giving it a shot because I really liked Tinker, Tailor... from the same director, and thought the cinematography would be good.

This movie was half as bad as I thought it would be, because I only watched half of it before tapping out.
Not even worth the $1 at Redbox....

Every single Transformers movie.

I wouldn't say I love these, but they're complete shit and when one is on, I usually get stuck watching.

I don't think he did. Wasn't he just a guy the picked up at the bus stop? That's what made it funny.
