Yes, you have to watch Roadhouse, Dr. Ken. Not only because it is a cultural touchstone, but because you will enjoy it immensely. There is a lot to love in Roadhouse. For one, Ben Gazarra's role consists entirely of soliloquies.

I will watch Roadhouse with you guys, if circumstances allow.

It was a practice run to play Jackie Treehorn.

That immediately sounds tremendous.

Full disclosure - I feel like I might have seen this 25 years ago and thought it very forgettable but I might not have appreciated its popular culture stature.

Whenever I think of this movie, for some reason I think of Kelly Lynch in a parking lot. I don't even know if she's in this movie or I'm thinking of the right movie. But that's my only memory of this movie.

The power glove scene in that is amazing. The whole movie was basically an ad for Mario 3 too.

I gotta go with Howard the Duck as the clubhouse leader, tho Leonard Part 6 is pretty fucking awesome too. And how can you not like Time Bandits with or without MST3K?

Roadhouse is very good to me. Any scene with Sam Elliot as well as that scene when Ben G. is just kicking back driving all over the road in his convertible giving zero fucks cracks me up. Also, lots of big haired girls.

if dr. ken saw it that long ago, maybe he wasn't in the right frame of mind to enjoy it. "roadhouse" is so fun bad, gene siskel nearly recommended it. ebert almost coaxed him into it.

because i grew up on d&d, "Knight Chills" is one of my favorite bad horror films to watch each year. it's dreadful, and obscure because it was made in michigan by a total hack. but it was given a thumbs up by gary gygax, and that accounts for something.

of course i'm on record already for "troll 2" and "the room", and both "birdemic" movies are hilarious. but i'd put the polonia bros. entire library against any of them. they're way worse and way more hilarious.

for mainstream films, "con air" always comes to mind. "ernest scared stupid". "license to drive". and the "child's play" sequels before they got ridiculous and satirical.

Since we're talking sly I'll add to the list tango and cash. That movie was terrible. Especially the super car at the end. But I liked jt.
