why do I always have to be the guy getting odd looks and uncomfortable questions for enjoying musicals. I know other fans are out there hiding the closets.

I didn't see this as I was at Easter parties and was on vacation the week after. How was it?

Heard/read it was pretty good. I watched the first 15 minutes at some point last week and I guess it was ok. I wasn't willing to put 2.5 hours
into it so I turned it off. I honestly like the idea of putting theater on TV every once in a while, just wasn't that interested in this one.

I grew up all about JCS. The original cast recording is a fantastic listen. Recently acquired a FLAC version and it's like butter to the ears. The John Legend version that was on recently I didn't really watch as much as I had it on in my headphones. From a purely audio experience, it was fine. I've heard way, way worse execution of the tunes, but it's incredibly difficult to match Ian Gillen and Murray Head.

I watched long enough to learn that John Legend couldn't hold a candle to the guy playing Judas.

Nothing against John Legend....he's a decent singer, but he's got a long way to go to beat the original vocal work by Ian Gillan.

Brandon Victor Dixon was really really good.

Alice Cooper....awesome.
