Also goddamn were the 80s great. Seeing the crowd go nuts when Hogan finally accepted the match with Andre was unreal.

It was good but more about Andre the wrestler than Andre the person. Tried to tie that stuff in, but spent a much larger portion on him and the Hulk and how they changed wrestling.

Yeah it became the Hulk Hogan story for a little while, but when they talked about Wrestlemania 3 and how Andre was done before that, it made sense.

I watched this today. Pretty good. I do agree they lost the narrative a bit midway through that it was about Andre and the 2nd half just was about the WWF.

But, interesting to see the early footage. He was a good looking man.

Saw it tonight. It was ok. It was weird how it went into a mini hogan documentary but it was ok. I remembered the times. Those wrestlers back then were great actors. Never a big Andre fan. He looked too goofy. Like Elvis in the jumpsuit.

I never liked the the one shoulder strap outfit.

Always made me feel like I was watching my Dad’s generation of wrestling.

Various online sources estimate Andre's net worth around $10 million at the time of his death in 1993.

I saw this yesterday and it seemed like a pretty lonely life.

I thought he would have had been worth much more than the 10 million.

I saw Andre wrestle twice and both times he was done in under 30 seconds at the hands of the Ultimate Warrior. First was at a house show in August of 89 and again at Survivor Series that Thanksgiving.

I would assume his biggest payoffs would have been Wrestlemania 3 and 4. He was pretty much done after that. I can't see these guys making millions in the 70s and 80s during his height. Ten million actually seems like a lot to have in the early 90s.

Watched this last weekend and really enjoyed it. I liked wrestling like most everyone else back in the mid 80s so I definitely enjoyed
them explaining that part of his career. Never knew the backstory about the match with Hulk in which he gave up the title, a true pro
until the end which I thought was really cool. The early footage and pictures were incredible. Felt sorry for him with regards to his
pain and difficulty trying to just be "normal". The stories about his drinking and flatulence were pretty funny as well. Highly recommend
watching and you don't have to be a wrestling fan boy to enjoy the story.
