The movie looks to be very good, but I side with Sacha Baron Cohen in that I would have preferred it be more about Freddie...the good the bad and the ugly. This will be more band-centric and watered down.

Yes.....as I said...the life of Freddie....the good, the bad, and the ugly. The dude was FULL of weird and wild shit....it was part of what made him so legendary. They could have done the movie.....shown his greatness....and still highlighted just how crazy the dude lived.

the band has a vested interest in keeping a certain image and promoting the band. Cohen has been very clear on this and that he gets it, but there's way more they could show. See his interview on Stern.

Really enjoyed it. The guys that played Mercury and May did amazing.

The scenes at the end of the Live Aid concert were crazy, it was like you were right there live at the deal.

Agreed. They did take some creative liberties with parts of the story to add a bit of drama and keep it flowing but overall it was great.
