I was looking around for something to watch last night and have spent a little time watching the Star Wars:Rebels cartoons. I think they are well done and fun overall. The characters are
fun to watch and they mix in some of the characters we all know in there. Anyway I just finished season 1 of that and was looking for a change and saw The Bad Batch pop up.

Wow! I thought this was really cool and if you like Star Wars and know a decent amount about the canon I can't recommend it enough. The first episode is about 75 minutes long and I think
does a wonderful job setting things up. The characters and storyline are great and the animation is pretty incredible. I could totally see them making this into a real movie at some point but just
not sure it would appeal to enough people which is probably why they went animated with it. Anyway it looks like 13 episodes in season 1 and I am really looking forward at slowly plucking these
off the list. Not sure how long regular episodes are yet, I would assume shorter than an hour though.

Anyone else check this out?

First episode was long. Looks like the 2nd is a more standard 30 minutes. The animation is great. We will see if the plot develops well.

I'm about half way, maybe 1/3 through the season. Been busy but have mostly enjoyed it. Haven't watched much of the clone wars or Rebels so this is my first animated series from them. Seems like a good medium for the franchise.

It’s pretty good. The animation is 1000x times better than the first Clone Wars shows.

Started it last night. Coulda sworn E2 was actually E3 because E1 was extra long. Really enjoying it so far.

Making my way through Clone wars now. Just finished season 4. Not a fan of the show to be honest. I just can't get over the fact that the good guys are really the bad guys. Just makes it hard to watch the show for me. Like am I supposed to be happy when the jedi's break up a plot to kill the Chancelor Papetin or whatever his name is? Or am I supposed to root for all these clones when they all end up being storm troopers?

I like the chick, she's pretty much the only reason I watch.

A lot of the hooks in Star Wars have been seeing how the good guys became the bad guys and vice versa. Anakin->Darth Vader, Galactic Republic->Empire, Kylo Ren being all over the place, the Jedi not being as great as Obi-Wan made them out to be, how did the Rebels victory bring about the First Order, Clones being on the good side until order 66 flips the switch, plots like that. Rebels the show has more time to develop Anakin's fall than a few movies worth of time and does a good job with it, his relationship with Ahsoka being the backdrop for a lot of it. The Bad Batch has a similar plot, The Clone troopers, good in Rebels and a lot of the prequel trilogy, bad at the end of Revenge of the Sith, now get the plot that if they fix the inhibitor chip or whatever or fight 'it", they can be good-ish again.

I'm not a big fan of little kids being involved in shows (or at least the ones I watch) and would have preferred it if Lisa Simps..., I mean, Omega had not been involved as much as she was. Although she was smart and often self-sufficient, the episodes that were more "The Bad Batch: Adventures in Babysitting" than anything else, i.e. Omega getting separated from the group because she chased a puppy (or whatever it was) were not so great.

Omega shaming them into doing what she thought was right became tiresome.

If they were upset that Cid was making them go on these jobs to pay her a debt they thought was unfair, why didn't they just kill her and be on their merry way? "Oops, sorry to have killed you. Defective clones, you know...can't be helped!"  I assume there are other places a group of exceptionally effective mercenaries can get work besides her.

I don't need to see Cad Bane in anything else for a while.

I watched the first 3 episodes of Rebels. I take it that takes place several years after The Bad Batch? Hera is older in Rebels than she was in The Bad Batch.

Made it through episode 14. Looks like there is a two episode finale to wrap up season 1. I have really enjoyed binging this show. I'll likely go back to Rebels after this but that just seems like
Bad Batch Lite. Eventually I will make it through Clones. Love the characters in Bad Batch and actually after 1st episode I liked Crosshair the best so I am hoping they eventually get him to turn
back over to their side but it works well to have him with the Empire as he knows how the Batch operates. Still blown away by the animation and some of the storylines have been weak but in
general I have really enjoyed it.

Oh makes sense. I did not realize this was a weekly drop show…..

I thought 14 ended kind of funny for a season finale.

No T Bone I do not. Your post is the reason I asked. I got through 14 and there were no more episodes. I thought the entire season dropped at once. I was confused.

I'm basically only watching Clone Wars cause I feel I have to before I can watch that Rebels series.

Disney has been mostly doing weekly drops. Well, On the shows I've watched they have all done it that way which I much prefer.

All caught up. Still love it. We're going to go back and watch Clone Wars and Rebels and maybe the 3 prequels...before S2 gets released, whenever that is.

I don't quite get why they had the little girl in every episode. They've barely developed her character and only hinted at why she exists. Do her creators want to extract her DNA because she's a master strategist? Is she a cloned Jedi? Maybe we'll find out in S2.

I was under the same impression and didn't know there was a two-part finale until I read about it in this thread. I watched episode 15 yesterday -- it was good. Omega wasn't involved too much and there were some interesting developments.

IIRC they said earlier in the season that she's a clone of Jango Fett.

Yeah it makes sense now. I guess I was just so late to watching the series that 14 episodes were already out there. I figured that was the whole season. Glad to hear there are more.

They're all clones of JF. She said all the clones were her brothers. She has been engineered for something different. Probably something along the lines of an Ender Wiggin. Engineered to be a master of reading people and military strategy.

Like Boba Fett she’s an unaltered clone that doesn’t have rapid aging like the rest of the clone troopers have. Pretty sure she’s older than the Bad Batch are, just ages normally.

She (I think) made reference to that in the last episode, and after thinking "Wait, she's older than they are?" rewound it to make sure I heard it correctly. Interesting.

I've been watching, but I'm probably 5-6 episodes behind at this point. Too many vacations!

It's been fun.
