So many of these celebrity bosses are tyrants who abuse their staff and are god-awful to work for: Ellen, apparently mustache man, James Corden (who the fuck is James Corden to pull rank onh anybody in the first place), even america's sweetheart Katie Couric apparently had an unnecessarily cruel streak, tho she oft directed it at other on-air personalities to get the one-up on em before going on air.

Actors like Christian Bale, Tom Cruise, Depp, Downey Jr et al--these franchise actors whose performances make or break quarter-billion dollar budget films and keep 1000's employed solely on the basis of their acting, well, kinda give them a pass. They've traded their soul for acting/fame and being in the spotlight and probably what we demand of them far exceeds the capacity of any individual to provide without being batshit insane. If Christian Bale flips on a lighting guy on set, chalk it up to being part of his process.

And if Gordon Ramsay's always Gordon Ramsay, on screen or off screen. What do people expect from constantly shouting dude.

One celeb I couldn't give two-shits about growing up but recall all the girls in our high school were obsessed with was Oprah. The white girls and esp Chaldeans were always trekking to Chicago to queue up in the west loop and sit in the audience on Oprah's show. cut to 10 or so years later and I'm living in the West Loop and my gf's managing a restaurant that Oprah's crew often orders lunch from. Everyone she interacted with from Oprah's staff was supremely nice and couldn't speak highly enough of their boss, based on her conversations with them. They even hooked her up with complimentary tickets to sit in Oprah's audience on the regular. So if Oprah can be de facto queen of the world and be a decent human being to the other human beings working for her, no reason Harvey, Ellen, Corden et al need to be shitheads.
