I thought the movie sucked. Baz Luhrmann sucks. He got facts wrong, made stuff up, and failed miserably to accurately describe the real Elvis. Why is the dude who plays him wearing eye liner, lipstick, and tons of makeup? He looks like a girl.

Luhrmann was the wrong guy to make this movie. And Harry Styles or Miles Teller should've played Elvis.

Yep. As I said earlier....no reason to overcomplicate this. The story is already written. Baz get artsy and weird and turned this into something royally stupid.

I was watching this a couple weeks ago. My wife walks into the room, knowing nothing about the movie, and within a few minutes she asks me if the Moulin Rouge guy made this crap.

Watched it Sunday night. This movie could have and should have been way better. Narration was stupid. Picking Col. Tom Parker as the narrator was even worse. Way too much of an attempt to be artsy and creative as opposed to just telling the story. I was highly disappointed.

Started watching it the other night, and this review is spot on, except for the generous letter grade. Made it about 20 minutes in before I had enough. It was like the director used the Elvis story to make a self-indulgent art film, which was exactly the wrong thing to do.

It was fine. These days, I'm just happy to get through an entire movie. Unfortunately, there is still a cape in the movie. Plus, they really really wanted to let us know that Elvis wasn't a racist.

Music portions of the movie were very good.
