If you don't bid $1 as the last person, or $1 over someone else as the last person to make a bid, then you are dumb and don't deserve to win anything and you should be kicked off the show.

When I went on a tour of Stateville back in law school the Price is Right was a popular show. It seemed like all the inmates had it on in their cells.

While that's certainly true, I wish they would ban the $1 over practice altogether. I'd be in favor of a rule that there is at least a $100 difference between bids.

Take that Socialism to another thread. It's a free market.

If you want to eliminate the $1 bid, change the rule to have the bid be closest to the actual price. If you're $10 over and you're the closest, you win. Tiebreaker can be the one who is under.

Why not make Tic-Tac-Toe whoever can put the most pieces down wins? Maybe you and Brick would find Ellen's Game of Games more up your alley strategy wise for a game show.

There was a really cool game show on GSN a while back called Grand Slam. It was basically a chess clock: your clock would run down from 60 and stop once you answered correctly, which would then start the other person's clock. They did it as an all-star tournament with Ken Jennings, the Tic Tac Dough guy, some other people. I assume Ken won.

Tic Tac Dough was kind of dull unless it kept going to cat's games over and over and the jackpot got really big.

It was a master level class at teaching you how to abbreviate words so they could fit on those TV screens.

excellent theme song. nowhere near as psychedelic as the match game, but blended with late 70's - early 80's pop synthesizer.

card sharks theme, drowning in late 1970's pop synth.

22 seconds of gameplay in a 22-minute show, they really got away with one there.

Clock game has to be the easiest game to win. Do you know how to add and how to talk? Enjoy your prizes.
