Thoughts on waiting for a phone interview:

1) Josie and the Pussy Riot: Good band, good lyrics. The frontwoman was the third best-looking chick in the group, and possibly behind the skunk-haired lady.

2) The band in Jabberjaw (the Neptune Forks?). They got no respect, but any band that has a full-time tambourine player is in my top five. @ that crazy Jabberjaw. Jabberjaw was funny, but also an artist: He whaled on them drums. Better drummer than Taylor Hawkins.

3) Fat Albert. Even my dad used to bop around during the opening credits, but there were some soulful tunes filled to the brim with good lessons during the show. For instance, they showed how Four-Eyes became a better baseball player just by wearing his specs.

4) Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids. If memory serves me, they had some good songs about the topsy-turviness of being in love. They were the perfect soundtrack to their madcap adventures!

5) The Jackson Five Show. I rank this fifth only because I don't know this show; I know of it. We weren't really allowed to watch the Balcks (apart from Fat Albert; he was one of the good ones) in our house, and for some reason, they didn't show this in later years (like Josie and Scooby).

6) The Brady Bunch cartoon. They may have lacked the talent of the Jackson 5, but I've seen both live as animated tv characters, and--please gird yourself here for some #realtalk--them Brady kids put on a better show.

What was the show with that gay Revolutionary War hero ghost? Did they have a band?

I forgot about The Brady Kids cartoon and that mynah bird.

The Star Trek cartoon was pretty good -- at least it was when I was a little kid. I haven't seen it in ages.

Josie and the Pussy Riot
