based on the story of the movie of the same name. I have only watched the first episode but it appears to tell the story from the perspective of the landed nobility. The first episode felt like a movie itself. Great storytelling and I can't wait to watch more.

2. Proper response would be to ask an endless series of follow ups until the person regrets having spoken to you in the first place.

It's definitely not dumb. The movie was great with its twists and turns. The show has the same production team, though none of the stars (unless Mc Conaghy makes a cameo).

I was told here how wonderful The Leftovers is. Yet I am still struggling through season 1, probably because each episode is more depressing than the next. Thus I am never in a hurry to watch the next one.

They'd love to talk to you about it in The Leftovers thread
