Predator is not a horror movie.

You know what I haven't seen in forever? Motel Hell.

yeah i don't get that one; also i never thought of "blade" as a horror movie either. it's just an action movie with vampires. may as well call "the crow" a horror movie.

yeah "motel hell" is awesome. another one i'd like to see televised is "tourist trap". tanya roberts is so yummy in that one.

spmack, i was thinking of you when i posted that. i'm hoping it's not the rob zombie remake edition at least.

I make a point of watching the 1978 version of Halloween every year. It's just about a perfect movie.

Every year I watch Romero's original Night of the Living Dead. Scared the shit out of me as a kid, and the opening cemetery scene still gets me.

i try to do both. "night of the living dead" is my "it's a wonderful life" for the halloween season. i used to watch a really old cheap VHS of it when i still lived at home. i'd go into the basement and shut off the lights and watch it real late at night for the perfect mood.

my main must-sees also include any of the first 3 "child's play" movies, "friday the 13th" parts III-V, and "the exorcist".

this weekend is my annual horrorthon held at my place...a gathering of friends to watch the opposite of movies like "halloween", the biggest pieces of shit and riff on them while drinking all day.

that's awesome. but how dare they try to steal my thunder. today is MY horrorthon.

you'll see my adulation for "dead of night" all throughout this thread. that is one of the best horror anthologies ever, and it still holds up after 70 years. it's kind of like a precursor to "the twilight zone". very bizarre and eerie.

Was "Gremlins 2" good? Was that the Christmas one or was the original the Christmas one?
I don't know "The Descent" "They Live" is a great choice, for obvious reasons.
I'm glad they are doing this again. Brings a fun crowd to in to Brgrbelly. The theater just got sold to an as-yet-unnamed owner.

"the descent" is great. it has more than meets the eye. very bloody too.

"gremlins 2" is the more goofy one. it takes place at a large "city building" Clamp Industries. there's a funny cameo by hulk hogan too. it's very loud and parodies itself and the first one. underrated sequel.

Big Fan of Gremlins 2. My guy John Glover stole the movie. Zack, have you ever seen Ed and His Dead Mother?

I watched The Great Pumpkin last week, or 2 weeks ago, whenever the fuck it was on. I hadn't watched it probably since I was a child. It's awful. Like, I'd rather watch a Big Bang Theory marathon whilst listening to someone talk about their fantasy football team. It's senseless, lacks humor, and bored me to death.
