i quit watching this show something last year. when the asian kid got his head smashed in.

one episode was all anyone needed to know that this show sucks and was essentially a re-tread of all the crap they did years ago (which wasn't funny by the end of that run either)

there was one season i had it recorded since i forgot to cancel the recording. all i did was FF thru each episode , no dialouge, and I still knew what was going on.

Been watching some of the lead-up today and they keep making a big point of this being the 100th episode.

The 100th comic was significant. I wonder.

This show sucks, but I'm like a couple others here. I'm invested, and it is fun bad.

It's an "out there" comic book show now. Dudes with tigers. Trash people that forgot English in a couple of years. All women communities. Next is going to be a sentient 'good guy' zombie...like the Ghouls from Fallout.

I wish they'd cut it with the narrative cuteness and just tell a good story.

It was just ok. They really draw everything out now. I'm guessing at least half this season is going to be about this one final battle so
I'm sure they will take their time with it. A little confusing with all the jumping back and forth into the future but overall it wasn't bad,
just was hoping for a little bit more. It's a hell of a lot better than Fear The Walking Dead. I'm an idiot for watching that show.

I realize Negan can't die half way into the first episode of the season, but when he walks out the door talking about being in a meeting, why wouldn't every damn person shoot him before he finished the sentence.... And of course, once Rick does stat shooting, he turns into a stormtrooper that can't hit anything. But whenever its an "extra" or walker they are shooting at, it's one shot right in the head every time.

So apparently there were 4 different timelines shown last night.

Present (Rick's speech about war and the confrontation with Negan)
Sometime near the end of War (Crying Rick saying "my mercy exceeds my wrath")
Sometime after the war (Rick and Carl with the Muslim dude)
5 years in the future (Old Man Rick)
