In the big picture of dumb/unbelievable things that happens on this show, this might be small, but how does Eugene completely bury himself in about 5 seconds?

Also, instead of making all these grand plans, and having meetings about it (out in the open....), and picking the most deserving 'executioner', how about just walking up and shooting Negan in the head.

Yeah, it seemed odd to have a secret revolution meeting in the middle of the courtyard in broad daylight.

I guess this show has gotten so bad I just don't care about that kind of insane planning if it gets to a couple cool moments.

Supposedly tonight's episode sews up the entirety of the first 8 seasons and it gets rebooted.
Which is fine. The main characters numbers are bloated. Too many people. Might be more interesting if there were 4 or 5 main characters instead of 25 that I have to try to remember and care about.

Maggie probably won't make it through childbirth, Darryl will be killed by The Whisperers, and Jesus will be revealed to have been playing Maggie all along. No way he goes to the Dark Side. Both Maggie and Darryl have other projects that they are slated to be working on at this point next year, so it doesn't look to be too long for them.

What a crock of shit. I've watched MANY crocks of shit over the last few years (I'm a Sox fan), but this was the shittiest crock of shit that I had seen on my TV for a long time.

At least the musical score had some highlights.

Yeah that might have just been the end of walking dead for me. I'm not sure what I was expecting exactly but all out war turned into a minor skirmish and all the main cast is just as alive and annoying as they were in season 7. 2 seasons and not much resolved.

Maggie is understandable. Negan earned death with his offense against her. It would be like the family of a murder victim wanting the death penalty and the prosecutors agreeing to life in prison. However, you cannot run a society on pleasing the aggrieved.

Darryl has been like this from at least the time he and Rick had their fist fight.

Jesus is the one who is out of character. He was literally pleading Morgan not to kill his enemies in the previous scene.

I don't know why they had to present it as some big hill top conspiracy. Maggie could walk into Negan's room and finish him herself. No one would deny it was justice.

I thought the poorly written turn was Rick. He slit the guy's throat. That could have very easily been a death blow (in fact, I thought it was) but for luck of missing an artery. He didn't show any restraint or set an example on starting the New World. He just got lucky.

The new world isn't changed with Negan dead or alive. The compassion is in letting uniting with the rest of the Saviors. Those people were all being forgiven with the promise of a clean slate. Negan is simply a discussion about appropriate punishment. They aren't planning on forgiving him.

There weren't enough survivors on either side before the fight began for this to be anything but a skirmish. I doubt there were more than 100 people on that field of battle even when combining both sides.
