Last season hemorrhaged viewers I think. Started off high but they lost something like 5 million viewers by the finale.

Fantastic.

You and other loyal viewers through the years(shakes and the dr obviously): best predictions on 1.) terrible "jump the shark" storylines and 2.) how does this shit end?

I'm on #55 of the comic. I find them more interesting than the tv show but a much more annoying medium to consume the story.

I'm not sure who I'd be in this world. I'd like to think I'm a Daryl but I'm probably some version of Bob, trying to drink my way through the apocalypse and dying in a very stupid manner for no apparent reason right after finding a reason for sobriety.

I said it 3 seasons ago. Rick is the worst possible leader. Every decision he makes leads to more problems.

The Farm was surviving. Rick comes in and half the occupants get killed and they have to leave.

Alexandria was a safe community. Rick comes in and kills people and makes a move on the guy's wife. Then he has a bright idea to clear a horde of zombies from a quarry that's not town-adjacent and ends up having them all overrun Alexandria and caused the death of numerous Alexandrians.

People should not listen to Rick.

They should kill him the first chance they get.
That's true but that is kind of what Rick's group does. They infiltrate a group and then slowly take it over while keeping a select few to keep their numbers up.

I think a more interesting thing is that Rick's group are actually worse than any other group they've beaten so far and that includes Negan's.

Negan's group is pretty awful. I would much, much rather watch a show about Negan than Rick, but I can't say Rick's group is worse morally. I think the premeditated slaughtering of dozens of people by Rick's group probably put them about equal. At least in Rick's group you can have your own wife.

Negan is leading a group that seems to be largely composed of ne'er do wells who will only stay in line through force. He has to lead differently. I think we saw in his moment of shacking up with Carl while Rick was away that he would prefer a different style but he plays the cards dealt to him

I agree with all of that but it doesn't excuse his actions. It's easy to joke about the "you can't have a wife in our group" think but that would ultimately be a very unsustainable practice and is probably the worst "leader' decision shown in the entire series.

1) Carl becomes the new Negan after he kills Rick. He has always blamed him for Lorrie's death.

2) They're all saved by, I don't know. Let's say Moe.

To say nothing of the fact that hundreds of people are cruelly ruled by one guy just because he has a leather jacket and baseball bat.

The Fonz didn't need a baseball bat to be a leader.

Rick is awesome. You internet trolls always hate the front-runner.

You hated Walter White, and you probably hate Jon Snow, too.

Is it that cool to be a contrarian?

I never know when to respond to you like you are a real poster or ignore you like a mult.

I don't hate Walter White. If I hated him I would compare him to Rick Grimes in a retarded internet post.

Most people were still rooting for Walt even while acknowledging the terrible things he did.

Jon Snow is probably the least interesting of the major GoT characters.

Jon Snow is great. The actor leaves a bit to be desired but he is easily the easiest character to root for.

Disagree, it's Tyrion.

I just never really loved the Night's Watch part of the story.

You know who this show misses? Ned and Tywin. Shame they never met on screen.

Ned was the perfect TV death. Very necessary. A flawed analogy but he was the Cobain of GoT. His death started everything.

I somewhat agree with Tywin but it was a great Tyrion moment,

I don't know why one would like Tyrion but dislike Jon Snow. They both repeatedly make very stupid decisions but otherwise are likable, noble characters.

Tyrion is hilarious and intelligent and almost every word out of his mouth is entertaining. Jon Snow is a one note character.

I dont hate him or root against him but he's just kind of there. The coolest thing about him is the mystery of his birth which isnt really even about him as a character.

Jon Snow is sneaky funny. I get your point but Tyrion isn't intelligent. He's witty, but he's arguably the dumbest character on the entire show.

Ill take witty as a better word than intelligent but there is no argument that he's dumb.

Reckless maybe.

I'd have to do research to properly argue this but is he dumb as fuck. Almost every decision he has ever made on the show has been outrageously stupid, but the story necessitates he survive. I also enjoy his character though, FWIW.

How will the show end?
Straight Nihilism, They all have to die. Then in heaven they have a court case to decide if Rick gets to heaven. They bring in every person he has killed as a witness for the prosecution. Larry David writes it.

I have kept with the show despite its many issues. I'm still mad they didn't kill off the baby in the Governor war.

I rewatched the entire last season to get ready for the premier. Season was amazing, even moreso on a second viewing. Really looking forward to this season, the war with the Saviors and what comes after.

The battle scene between Rick's crew and the Saviors was the most ridiculous thing that I have ever seen. They were completely outgunned and outmanned. Nobody in Rick's crew even got so much as a scratch, while they killed dozens, and forced the Saviors to retreat.

GTFO with that bullshit. I am close to bailing on this show.

I don't think I'll ever bail on it because it's reached "fun bad" now.

Too invested to quit but also don't really enjoy most of it any more.

It's amazing that this show used to be so good that watching an aftershow talking about that show was entertaining too.

Entire season could have been condensed into one two-hour episode.

Also, Frank Drebin needs to bring back his Negan avatar.
