What bunch of fucking idiots who are supposed survival experts by now just wander-out, en masse, from the woods in BROAD DAYLIGHT and in front of a compound that clearly has vantage points that can be shot from?

I mean, c'mon. Seriously.

yea even a TWD apologist like me can't find too much good to say about these last 2 episodes.

The Morgan vs Jesus fight might've been the dumbest thing I've ever seen on this show.

Everyone having the same "kill them or spare them" dilemma is ridiculous as well. Plus it makes the final decision in All Out War less important or meaningful when every character has the same choice.

That's a great point. That final decision was really cool in the books when it was only one person who wanted to show mercy and everyone else wanted the guy dead. Won't carry nearly as much punch when half the people agree with him.

its all a build up for what they showed in premiere. Rick had thought all along that just Negan needed to die and in the end he wont even be able to finish that and lets him live. thus, he weeps over the graves of Glenn and Abraham for not bringing about vengeance.

...and maybe somehow this will lead to Darryl being killed. He's been "no remorse" to Rick's hesitation for some time now. Rick will probably convince him to change or some BS later in the season and whoever he spares ends up killing him. A TROPE NEVER USED BEFORE IN MODERN TELEVISION AND FILM

And then Rick immediately starts dropping bodies all over the countryside and whips up a zombie herd to stampede the families living at Negan's compound while at the same time having a clear shot to kill Negan standing right in front of him while Rick is holding an automatic weapon and Negan has a baseball bat.

I think the scripts could be tighter.

Also, if Rick's team now knows all the compounds and throughroads betwixt and between, and has them on watch, how do they get the 2 guns moved without Team Rick knowing about it?

all good points. at the very least, they could've had negan and rick banter back and forth while negan is hiding inside the building - like, not wanting to be shot - it would at least give a reason to shoot the damn building up.

Why did that dude call Rick "Peaches"?

They always throw some crap in there like that that is either a reference that is so obscure it is nonsensical or is just nonsensical.

Because he's from Georgia?

Isn’t he from Kentucky? He drove to Georgia to find them.

If anything, Morales is from Georgia.

He was already there with his family.

This is the exact kind of crap I’m talking about. He says that for no reason out of nowhere and I’m pondering this stuff for the next 5 minutes instead of watching the show. It takes you out of the moment completely.

I'll admit that although I'm still watching, I don't sit and focus on every scene anymore. Did I miss where everyone found huge arsenals of weapons and ammo? Even finding the guns, they're going through ammo like a factory setup shop next door.

If this season was the first 3 episodes of the show, I would have stopped watching already.

No, at one point they showed Eugene find a tool shop and theorized he could make bullets (major comic development).

But, then I guess they forgot about it and now Eugene isn't even there now.

But, let's just assume he trained an apprentice how to make bullets.

In the comics Rick is from Kentucky. I don't think they ever clarified that one way or the other on the show, but I could be wrong.

It's not the same, but Ezekial's non sensical rants are a good temp replacement for Eugene.

Literally laughed at loud at the 4th mention of not losing their ranks.

Carol is sort of playing a Walking Dead viewer in her non verbal reactions to Zeke

That scene with Rick and Daryl chasing the truck has to be the worst scene ever. The guy in the back of the truck fires tons of shots with an automatic weapon at Rick and of course misses every time, except for hitting the radiator, which for some reason has no effect on the Jeep, which continues to drive like nothing happened. Daryl speeds up on the bike, and fires one perfect shot with a hand gun, killing the shooter in the back of the truck. Rick then executes a move only possible in the Dukes of Hazzard or a cartoon, and manages to jump out of the moving Jeep into the other truck, stabbing the driver, who had a gun but wasn't shooting at Rick for some reason. The truck crashes over the embankment, and falls down a hill, which Rick escapes without injury. A minute later, Daryl rides up to the scene of the crash, even though he was just right behind the truck at the time of the crash.

Never mind Ezekiel and Carol making unbelievable escapes, too. The writers are just trolling the remaining viewers at this point.

Didnt finish it. Got sidetracked 20 minutes in and never went back. This might be a turning point for me as a viewer.

That was sad.

That pickup that Carol was hiding behind must have been made of cast iron. The tires were too. It took nearly 50 shots before a window even broke.

Great episode! Nice to see the show make a little comeback after the last 2 weeks.

Next week should be really interesting as we get to see what is going on at Savior HQ. I wouldn't be surprised if Gabriel lays the groundwork for Negan's eventual change of heart with their episode long conversation in the camper.
