i think HBO slipped the Academy a few bills and said, "remind people 'GoT' is still relevant."

it absolutely wasn't better than "handmaid's tale" and from what i've heard about "westworld", didn't surpass that one either.

any reason why "better call saul" wasn't nominated? did it not qualify? the emmys have always been weird with off-season shows.

He was pretty great in that season overall.

Final season back in April 2019. No exact date listed yet.

The prequels can be great depending on what they do.

Aegon's Conquest, the Long Night, the Dance of Dragons. All would make for great TV.

GoT is in my top 5 for sure.

Because you haven’t seen Mad Men, Justified, or The Shield

Only the Shield stacks up with GOT out of that list. Mad Men fell apart at the end and didn't stick the landing. Justified had too many throw away seasons.


Shield had some filler in the middle, but stuck the landing better than any show in history arguably. Shield and Breaking Bad had best series ending of any series I can think of.

Season 5 in Justified sucks. The rest of it is awesome.

GOT doesn't have any throwaway seasons but they have a lot of throwaway subplots that dragged throughout multiple seasons. It's a really good show, I don't think it's top 5 worthy though.
